Is it still okay to watch The Cosby Show?

I still find this show funny.

“Your mother and I are rich, you have nothing!”

“No 14 year old boy should have a $95 shirt unless he is on stage with his four brothers.”

“You have a girlfriend? *snatches dollar*”

It's fine. Plenty of people aside from Bill worked on it and they deserve their checks.

If you can separate art from the artist then sure. If you find yourself unable to do this then maybe not.

Do what you want. Don't let the morality police dictate for you.

‘Gordon Gartrelle’ has been trending recently because of Lando’s shirt in Solo.

Classic episode, yo.

You can if you want. It makes me super uncomfortable because it directly allowed Bill Cosby to rape women and get away with it because people assumed his own personality was the same as his character.

I recently watched The Negotiator with Kevin Spacey. He was fantastic in that movie.

Doesn't change the fact that he's a monster in real life.

Absolutely!

Art is art. We can’t start avoiding the history of art cause of what horrible things people did in their personal lives.

I don’t think I would be able to watch it anymore, but if you can go right ahead.

The other actors who were in the show must hate him. All that royalty money off the reruns just vanished.

Whether it's ok is the wrong question. You know what happened, you cannot be ignorant of it, and now either choice is a political statement. The question is what statement you feel comfortable making, because either privately to yourself, or socially with others, you will be making it.

There is no return to childlike innocent appreciation of anything.

People can derive value from something (or not) because they like it (or don't).

You should judge people by how they treat others rather than whose art they consume.

As long as you're not actively contributing to immoral activity because you want that activity to continue, you're good.
