Is Microsofts biggest challenge what to name their next console? What will it be called.

Xbox One got stuck with the Xbone name and was clowned. Didn't we already have a Xbox 1?

Xbox One S and Xbox One X is a mouthful and sounds too similar, I still call my X the Scorpio.

Now we have the Xbox One S All Digital....aka Xbox SAD ....yet another unfortunate and avoidable name.

What should the next Xbox be called, part of the problem is most console project names always sound cooler than the actual names (Neo, Morpheous, Scorpio, Anaconda, Durango etc etc)

So what does Microsoft call it's next console?

Yeah, that's simple. It also avoids the numbers thing with Sony.

What do brand the games? 'Xbox'. That's a problem perhaps, branding is key. Do they need a new distinction or will 'Xbox' suffice. I wouldn't mind a sort of classic 'Xbox' reset'. Microsoft really need to keep things simple and clear to avoid any disasters. They really can't get it wrong again.

I would play a proper NBA Street in a heartbeat, that was my favorite basketball series. That game that releases recently just doesn't hold a candle to those games. NFL street was cool but it just couldn't hit those same good vibes that basketball series did. Imo

This. The name is largely irrelevant. Being able to improve over this generation with 1st party content is their biggest challenge.
