That's....odd, considering neither sound anything like the avengers theme. I hear some people mix incredibles with mission impossible. Each time I try I just hear the Indiana Jones or Incredibles theme in my head for some reason, lol....

I'm probably part of "general marvel watching public" as I'm not a huge fan but will watch atleast most of the movies and I'm not lying about not recognizing the theme.People saying it isnt are not being honest. the general marvel watching public could certainly pick it out a random set of tunes
I was never more sure of the theme being an all time great until I experienced this scene with a roaring applause from the audience. That's a memory I'll never forget.
How many people remember the original Spiderman movies themes nowadays or the X Men themes? Just because it's huge now doesn't mean it's going to remembered for every incarnation like most of the OP themes listed.I don't know. With Williams, that was like my formative years, so those classic themes had a big impact. Maybe the same is happening now, to this generation.

Exactly! That's what's so bizarre to me. I know it sounds nothing like either but that's just what springs to mind.That's....odd, considering neither sound anything like the avengers theme. I hear some people mix incredibles with mission impossible.
To me, truly iconic leitmotifs/themes have to be something you find yourself able to remember.
Sure, you can go "oh, that's the Avengers theme" when you hear it. But for the life of me I can't remember it out of the moment. Each time I try I just hear the Indiana Jones or Incredibles theme in my head for some reason, lol....
You all are lying lol when you hear it, you know it's the avengers. It's iconic.
What was the Man of Steel theme, again?
Do people really know the burton batman theme off the top of their head?
Didn't even realize there's a recurring theme, so I really have to go with no.

Can your average anybody instantly recognize the burton batman theme right now?In 20 years will your average anybody be able to instantly recognize it? No way.
The MoS theme starts off good with the piano stuff, but then just devolves into two notes being spammed again and again.
How can anybody possibly answer this questionIn 20 years will your average anybody be able to instantly recognize it? No way.
Pretty much. There isn't a single iconic theme across the MCU. Even the DCEU has the Wonder Woman theme.

I guarantee more people know the avengers theme than wonder woman, lmoa. There isn't a single iconic theme across the MCU. Even the DCEU has the Wonder Woman theme.
Right now I can't even think of wonder woman's off the top of my head. I know it's like electronic stuff. I can think of the avengers theme any second. The Wonder Woman theme alone is more memorable than any MCU music. I finally recognize the Avengers theme after it's been used so many times, but it's still very blah.
I was never more sure of the theme being an all time great until I experienced this scene with a roaring applause from the audience. That's a memory I'll never forget.
Oh right. That one worked well. I suppose the lead-in works as well with those rapid string beats. Not sure if the middle part works quite as well, but then again, it will likely never have to stand alone. That's just to bridge the opening with the main theme.Even the beginning part can get reactions (see: Captain america arrives in infinity war)
