I remember the Egypt arc in JoJo, where was trying to show off to know how to socialise with the Egyptians. It was my first time hearing someone say Salam aleykoum as a Japanese and it was hilarious. And of course his iconic Oh my God and Holy Shit are legendary.

I just discovered that Daisuke Gori was not only the original voice of Heihachi Mishima but also the original voice of Mr. Satan and when he passed away Ishizuka Unshou took over BOTH of those characters. A mind blowing discovery for me but also OF-FUCKING-COURSE. I can so easily imagine that signature Heihachi laugh coming from Mr. Satan.
Anyway, this is very sad news as Ishizuka was far too young.

Mr Satan and Heihachi's legendary voice actor passing away the first time was terrible news, but now his equally legendary replacement passing away so soon after taking over both characters and doing an outstanding job for both is just gut-wrenching.
Not to mention all the other great characters he voiced.

His JoJo stuff is legendary, but one of my favorite low-key performances from him is the grandpa character from one of my favorite anime series, Humanity Has Declined (Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita) -- he just sells the character so well as an old man in a position of power who doesn't give much of a shit to anything except for his gun collection.
