I don't even care about this. Change the shit. If they try something like this again, hopefully people are loud enough to get it changed again. Why do we want lip service from a corp?

On the flipside, how many people are going to act like they were ever affected by this and will devote considerable mindspace to still flipping their shit out about it going forward?
Make dumb decisions then backtrack when called out…. How many times are they gonna do the same song and dance.
If it was a bug/unintentional why would they have not gotten out there right away to quash the flames?

Absolutely. Gamers™ tend to get shit on when there's a hysteria over something, but sometimes the intentions are good and get things done

Are we sure that them fixing this isn't a coding error? Maybe we should wait for an official announcement that it's corrected.
Why would it even matter if someone was affected by this directly or not? Can only people directly affected call out Sony's shitty practices?
It's a loathsome business practice to stack upon the several other shitty business practices modern Sony has made in recent times and they should be called out for it.

It's totally plausible that this is a configuration error or oversight.
C'mon, think about it for a second: *Everyone* in every region had their subscription status changed to indicate it was purchased at a discount. And this was *before* the roll out. Then, when customer support was contacted they gave a prepared uniform response that the upgrade pricing was correct. ONLY after a huge backlash and a full day later was it changed.
None of that supports the idea that this was a mistake.
If it was a mistake, I don't think it's really far fetched to make an announcement and say they were working on it. In any case, their communication is really shitty.
