Should be easy to test in a lot of games. Loading times should be miles better. I'll test some that I'd recognise later!

So potential 4k res for games? Or are we running a reduced res version for now?

I just did a quick test and I'm seeing the same thing. Not sure if that's confirmation or not (don't really know anything about these settings on xb1 and xbs).

So smart to have performance modes for all these games.

Due to compression you'll never get the full benefit of native resolution anyways, but you'll appreciate the responsiveness.

I wonder if this might be why MS waited for AMD's DLSS-like for the Series consoles? Could they leverage that to maybe run these big games at 120fps in Xcloud, where the compression will hide the softness that it introduces?

Thats why they focus alot on 60fps even starting last gen and now 120fps for their games.
Its one of the "easiest" way to improve response.

Option was locked down for me in R6. Playing from Texas.

Like a Dragon shows the high resolution mode though! Steam quality is great!

Can't wait to see everyone's impressions. I just need to know the performance matches Stadia's.

So just checked Maneater (top of my most recent list) and when you go into the controls it shows a Series controller with the share button. Not sure what it shows on a One but potentially another title on the new blades.

Edit: Has to be a Series X blade, loaded in to the game in all of 3 seconds.

My internet isn't great (not even Wifi 6) and games like Outriders would be pretty artifacty and stuttery, or even Halo Reach.

I'm playing through the Y:LAD opening cutscene and there's hardly ANY artifacting going on at all.

Would be cool to have a list of games in the OP. Working for me here in France.

Sea of Thieves seems to be enabled as well since it's running at 60fps now.

Just tried another random game - Wolfenstein Youngblood and it's the Series X version as well. I think all games with upgrades are available now.

starting with yakuza was a mistake because its not like you get to gameplay for a LONG TIME!

Hell yeah. Seems it'll be all up and running in time for the full release on iOS and PC

I tried like a dragon and it is not letting me go past the language select screen. Wonder if that is related to the blade upgrade in progress or just Yakuza being picky with my save

Input lag is still not good enough, especially with FPS games, even on Series X. I really hope this improves, because otherwise it's excellent.

Outriders is definitely 60fps. Nice. Will play around more after work.

This makes the value of xCloud skyrocket in my opinion. What a huge upgrade.

I just tried Descenders and it's 60 FPS, it offers Performance and quality modes, which are only on Series consoles it seams.

Halo 5 still feels horrible to play, must still be on one s
I'll say that some games seem to have inherently bad input lag, Halo 5 being one of them. Ori WoTW on the other hand is super responsive, both of which are 60fps.

Input lag is definitely the biggest unsolved problem forxCloud, but I think this update will go a long way in helping that.

Gears 5 seems to be upgraded as well. It's 60fps now. It's running super well for me. Very little latency and completely playable on ethernet.
