Well mid-valley is really having it right now. Hope there are no floods, but keeping my fingers crossed on possible mudslides (and of course no fatalities)
combine this with our roads crumbling every time it rains and you have a good time going. always nice to be driving and then discover a giant ass pothole just opened up out of nowhere.Southern Californians already suck at driving, so combine that with heavy rain and you have your answer.
The rain is actually terrible after bad fires. Causes really bad mudslides, like the one that killed a bunch of people in Carpenteria in Jan.
The projected rain totals in this storm for some of the fire areas are really fucking nuts, too.
Sounds a bit in bad taste to post this since a lot of people died in the past fire season.
Not to mention the mess and more deaths from the past mudslides.
love the rain, gives me an excuse to sit inside and smoke weed all day
Nvm Just got hit for 20 min and now it's sunny lol
Its only supposed to rain on and off for about 45 minutes today. But tonight around 9PM it'll start to dump until friday morning almost nonstop.
Poor NE crying about another snow storm... Look at us, we have four real seasons with beautiful fall colors. Cry me an icy river, NE!
It's been raining a little bit in South East LA.

Heavy rain storms like the current one are like a double sided knife.are these storms lifting the drought across southern cali or no dent?
Yup, started at around 10:30am and is been non-stop. I just came back from lunch and some cross streets on Magnolia are already flooding. I guess is time to avoid eastbound Burbank blvd. and Sherman Way

Yeah, I work in one of the buildings Ventura/Sepulveda. It's gloomy as far as the eye can see.
Not hyped for the 405.
Let me guess, either comerica or citibank. I'm sure you had fun with the air quality during the mulholland fire. Ughh
I'm peeking outside the window and is pouring, I'll be driving to valley glen later on the day and I'm seriously concerned with what street to take since I drive a freaking mini and don't want to stall on some flooded street.
I love the rain, but wish drainage system on the streets was more properly maintained and cleaned (Sepulveda dam, I'm looking at you)
The wife and I went to Disneyland for our Honeymoon back in January 2017 and it rained the entire time we were there. It was a major bummer.
We're starting a region wide gofundme to help rebuild and another one to research a way to prevent this from happening again.
Sorry to hear. I usually like a light rain at Disneyland, means all the locals stayed home and the lines are super short. The wife and I went to Disneyland for our Honeymoon back in January 2017 and it rained the entire time we were there. It was a major bummer.
I'm glad its raining they shut the jobsite down for tomorrow. Time to buy some lasagna from Guillianos, a pack Duvel beer and play DMC HD Collection.
