I've had two people I know literally start watching the series from the beginning as of a week ago.
If you know anyone who's done the same feel free to tell them everything up to season 7. I'm sure they'll be totally understanding.
No, this post is pathetic. There is a reason that spoiler threads and tags exist.
I think 1 year is way too long to shelter people from spoilers yet alone something 20 years old.

The thing is that FFVII isn't that "hugely" popular or famous anymore, either, and that includes its memes. Works of art slowly fade to obscurity; it's no longer 1997, or even the 2000s.
No, i will continue to openly discuss the twenty something year old game. Take it up with a mod if you're that worried
Based on the footage we've seen I doubt we're getting to City of the Ancients until game three of the remake, so a whole new generation of five year olds will grow up not knowing what happens that we need to protect from spoilers anyway. Vicious cycle
There's a difference from knowingly telling people that are new to a story what happens and discussing something on a forum.

This is my approach. Like it takes ZERO effort to not spoil someone. Throw in a spoiler tag. Wow. So much time saved. I understand it's reached Vader level of cultural knowledge, but as many have said, there's a whole generation of kids who might not have played this before. Let's let them rock and enjoy it like we did.

Spoiler culture is the absolute worst. Nobody cares about people being whiny about trying to be sheltered from ancient information.

The people being snarky about spoilers were all crying to Jesus last month about Endgame spoilers. You can't have it both ways.

Or just played it sooner. It's been playable on every single playstation and is on PC. It's not like people born after 2000 haven't had ample opportunity to play it.
