"Indiana...let it go." was my favourite line delivery from Connery in any of his movies, followed by his awesome performance in The Rock.

Very entertaining actor.

“They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue.”

An absolute legend.

This is crushing. Its no small understatement to say that the James Bond movies were part of the fabric of my DNA growing up, and that was largely due to this electric, charismatic, ruthless performance brought to life by a larger than life figure.

And that is to say nothing of the countless other roles he made memorable and iconic.

He wasn't an actor - he was a movie star. A legend.

Rest in peace, Sir Sean.

Breaking now; RIP to this legend.

Though Connery was disliked by Bond author Ian Fleming, to many, he is the quintessential James Bond and will likely be forever, just as Christopher Reeve is for Superman. As a big fan of the Bond novels, I feel that he was a great fit for the role and captured a lot of the swagger and machismo of the character.

Any favourite movies of his ERA?
Fun Fact, Connery was 31(!!) when recording the first Bond movie, and that iconic first Bond scene. He looks like 45 minimum. People really did live differently back then.

In any case, rest in peace!

This is a shame. He was a great actor in some iconic movies. I remember him in the Highlander 1 and 2. He had quite an interesting career from life as a milkman.

This is one of those things you knew was coming eventually because he's so old, but it's still sad to see. RIP.

He was a great actor and was in some of my favorite movies. He brought this air of style, class and baddassery to all of his characters.

The best Bond in my eyes, never forget his performance as 007, and so many other great works of cinema.

RIP.
