Just hire him back, Disney. Let him direct Guardians 3.

Then give him Fantastic Four and get his original Starlord pick Glenn Howerton as Reed Richards.

I really hope that all the ridiculously deluded conspiracy theorists that were thinking that there was "smoke" and that it wasn't just the tweets comes to their senses soon; he is in demand because they've vetted him and understand what they're doing when hiring him.

Like the dozen or so execs and producers THR spoke with, this exec asked to remain anonymous because Gunn is not permitted to entertain other offers while his negotiation to exit Disney is ongoing.

"I've been advised that we can't bring anything to him until the Disney matter is 100 percent resolved," says another studio executive.

So you're telling me there's a chance...

I kinda want him to stay on, because Guardians 3 and Eternals and etc.

But, I feel like Marvel will find good talent for those movies so... I kinda want him to go to DC because he'd be the hope in that (almost) hopeless place.

Green Lantern -> whatever other movies ->Blackest Night and make Blackest Night a two-parter with other movies in-between.

With the slate they have who would they kill off to make this worthwhile? A two part Blackest Night would just be Infinity War except those who disappear come back as zombies.

They would be better going with Sinestro Corps War because it requires less shit from everyone else and it's miles better than Blackest Night.

Disney's loss is other people's gain
Lot of people want that Marvel Money and aren't concerned with "Brand Integrity" in the way Disney is. Considering James Gunn basically pulled a magic trick with an IP barely anyone knew about and made it into a cornerstone of the Marvel Franchise, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that everyone wants some of his magic too.

Midgar, With Love
CBS All Access should scoop him up and make a Star Trek spinoff that's basically just Farscape, which is basically just Guardians of the Galaxy.

Get Dave Bautista to throw down with Seven of Nine.

If he does join WB, which I think he won't, he absolutely will be given more power over Jenkins. The GotG movies made more than WW
WW is the only DC film with nearly universal praise. It was kneecapped with an inadequate marketing campaign and budget. Remember they were already hyping Justice League before WW was out.

Could Gunn really make good on the DCEU as it is, mainly meaning the actors. I'm sure he put more thought into that than Snyder ever did who doesn't see past the look.

Disney would be so dumb to no re-hire him.

I'm in for whatever he does next and out for GoG if that isn't him.

That alt-right goblin probably lost his boner when the realization that he didn't manage to ruin Gunn's career sets in. If anything, he gave Gunn leverage to use for his next career move. If he stays within the Disney umbrella, he could probably renegotiate his terms. And if he no longer works with Disney, it'll be a bidding war to get him on other projects.

But that's assuming the alt-right goblin can think of more than one thing at the same time.

An end all verdict hasn't been issued? Bullshit, they said they were effectively cutting all ties with Gunn immediately in their initial press release.

Disney are backpedalling so hard at this point. If they're going to keep him around to do a different marvel movie, then why not just go the whole hog and reinstate him on Guardians 3?
