As a reminder, the final annual rankings only include the top 10 months per participant. Therefore, missing a month isn't a deathknell for the annual rankings. Missing a month just loses the ability to drop a poor month later. (^_^)

Looking at the results and my late predictions, looks like this month wouldn't have made it to my top 10 anyway :p.

Great result for the Switch. Smash still doing a lot of work.

PS4 dropped off more than I was expecting. Terrible performance for the Xbox One.

Cheers, that drop doesn't seem bad for the PS4 when factoring this year being a week less, pretty good for the Switch and a big drop for Xbox.

And January had a $50 price cut at the end of month.

Sub 30K, ~25K weekly average is not a good sign for XB1 this year. No wonder they have the One X at $399 for 2 months straight.

Thanks, and seeing the comparisons showed that I was right about my assertion about the PS4 and X1.

I said that both PS4 and X1 would decline, but only X1 would see a big enough drop to be declared a "collapse". The PS4 just has more selling power to do healthy sales

Last January was 5 weeks, this January is 4 weeks.

Weekly averages are

2018

NSW 55k
PS4 51k

NSW 71k (+29%)
PS4 49k (-4%)
XB1 25K (-47%)



Switch did amazing, PS4 did very well, XB1 was absolutely terrible.



EDIT: ninjed hard, but at least % wasn't in Welfare's post :P
