Was about to throw a tantrum over no Persona....then I realized.

Splatoon over Odyssey is very interesting.

Is it easy to import a Famicom mini still? I couldn't find a SNES classic so I might get the next best thing. Even I can't read Japanese

I bet Dai Sato is the one who voted for PUBG, if he's in the group of people who voted on this. I remember one year, he picked Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon as one of the best games of the year.

That said, Japan sure put out some good games this year, so it's pretty hard to argue against most of the stuff on the list. Kinda surprising that Persona 5 isn't in the top 10 though.

BotW and Nier:A being in the top 3 are no surprise. Both actually push the medium in different ways and that should be very enticing for developers.

Persona 5 came out over there in September 2016, so it probably counted for that year.

I'm more surprised and saddened that Nioh didn't make the list.

Splatoon 2 getting the respect it deserves. probably because they're all about Splat Zones over there and almost every map in Splatoon 2 is great for that mode plus they added the GoaT's from Splatoon

Tekken 7 at the #3 spot for PC, and iM@S at #5 for mobile. Harada-san must be pleased. lol

Bonus points for having Kiwami up there. Well done.

Very powerful of Zelda to win over in Japan since Zelda has never been as powerful of a seller there compared to the west. The recognition and sales of this Zelda is really showing how much of a triumph the game is
