OP Backlogs are already rising, so the answer is yes.

One Piece is still king yes.
Limited Editions skew numbers, so this years volume of OP should be compared to last year's, or to this year's limited editions for other series.
In terms of new volumes without Limited Editions, OP 101 had the best start.
In terms of total sales by series, OP is still first.

The market is slightly slowing down compared to last year, but ti's still much higher than any other year before it.

Definitely seems smaller by a little bit. That volume 16 stat is pretty amazing considering it had only 3 days. I feel like 20 would have sold around the same amount as 19 if it had 3 more days maybe. I wonder if enthusiasm for the series is slowing down a bit now or that maybe the current arc isn't interesting to people.

Also I'm guessing volume 18 and 19 had some boosts from JJK0 and that might be wearing off too?

Not just a little bit. We're talking about loosing 100-200k readers in 3 months, just 6 months after the end of JJK0's run in the theaters.
It sold in 10 days less than its previous volume did in 7, so no, the 3 additionnal days wouldn't have helped.

JJK's readership seems to be incredibly volatile (unlike, say, One Piece's). There's no way to know how low it could get in the long run, but I'm not very optimistic.

I mean
even if it were to lose 90% of its readership, it wouldn't be cancelled. Jump isn't what it used to be. JJK is forever safe just by virtue of what it achieved at one point.
But yes, from a sales point-of-view, JJK's potential in the future is bleak.

Oh I see. And yeah that's certainly seems to be true. It'll probably taper off until S2 next year and get a boost from that (since it's considered the best arc of the series) but I wonder how it'll go after that.

The issue isn't just the drop from one volume to another
It's that it happened so shortly after the first season + movie boosts.

Still not much cause for alarm considering how long shonen jump tried (and ultimately failed) to prop Toriko when it was never a success

It's not in trouble for one bit cancellation wise, it's just interesting to see the trends.

I read an article back when JJK was super hot (during the first season's run iirc) and even then some stuff was not selling too hot (Some coffee brand was discounting the JJK coffees, because they weren't selling quick enough). Since then I said JJK was probably a "fad".

Now, don't get me wrong, it is still a pilar of JUMP and got to sales that pretty much no other JUMP title had achieved (I'm talking per volume sales).
But this increase in sales seemed a bit "artificial", I said it was probably just Kimetsu readers wanting to hop into the next trendy stuff, JJK 0 being so hot in the Box office (and to be fair, One Piece Red too) is all about the Kimetsu readers/watchers. They aren't really 'loyal' to franchises, and it looks like JJK will continue to shed readers.

It's too bad because JJK is actually pretty good, but it is what it is. JJK's meteoric rise in sales was unprecedented in 20+ years (I think at some point it had sold a bit more than One Piece had sold at a certain volume, 16 iirc).

Let's see what happens with the upcoming hot series, Chainsawman, once its anime starts.

I think volume 9 of Spy x Family came out when the anime just started but I really want to see how volume 10 sells in the first week.

One Piece could probably get #2 from Tokyo Revengers if its backlog sales continue for a bit and a new volume releases in November.
