I’m still thinking about this whole thing and it still makes 0 sense to me. If you’re on a plane with guns and 70 pounds of weed, why do you feel the need to hide perc???

I am hoping the people on the plane with him can further explain what happened because it makes no sense.

I dont know the guy but read he was a up and coming artist. I mean, I definitely dont know his financial situation, but hes getting paid millions by a label and hes trafficking weed? That must be some good shit with some crazy street value to risk his future?
One, its hard to leave people who are about that life if you came up with them, if he was caught up with associates. And a lot of rappers have testified to making more money pushing then rapping. Most of the wealth is appearances.

That's kind of assuming people on an airplane with 70lbs of weed and guns are otherwise making only rational decisions.

I mean it doesn’t say how many he takes but I think his tolerance is high considering he was an addict. Unless he just chugged a bottle or something. Idk it’s all very weird.

And like I said if you have guns and illegal amounts of weed why try and hide some pills.

Or maybe I’m just over thinking it. Mac Miller and Lil Peep died on drug overdoses, although they were laced pills. Sometimes it’s as simple as your body doesn’t react correctly to the drug and you die.

I dunno. Why would a successful artist run weed with an armed entourage on a private plane and get caught? The premise makes no sense and I honestly don't see the end making any less sense than the rest of it.

I don't understand why he'd chug the pills instead of getting caught with that much weed in the plane. At that point why's it matter? This doesn't make sense.

Yeah, I usually just over think these things when someone famous passes.

It is very weird seeing someone so rich/famous/successful die over something so simple.

Heath Ledger dies because he mixed the wrong drugs etc. sometimes it’s as simple as that

Okay well this settles it. Ski mask and others in the rap game retweeted it so I’m assuming this is what the official story is.

RIP......the article states who snitched, the pilot. And I don't know if I can blame him, as he was just going by the rules....why are they bringing guns? Either way, I do not think moral of the story is "don't do drugs", this is such a reductive way of looking at things. Drug use should not be stigmatized as such.

They had 70 lbs of weed on the plane. Like there's bringing a bag for personal consumption, and then there's bringing drug trafficking amounts over state borders. One of these things is not like the other.
Who is being harmed in this situation and requires federal law enforcement?

Without even getting into the drug thing having guns on board not unloaded and locked away out of reach of those in the cabin is definitely breaking federal law.
So what? Do you feel safer right now that a 21 y/o has been processed through the fed drug grinder?

Don't really get why he chugged the pills and not someone in the entourage. whole thing kinda stinks like someone wanted to take him out.

"I was just following the law" is not a good look throughout any point in our dumb country's history.
Lol, ok so you think the pilot, likely an employee of the company handling the fractional ownership share of this airplane, should not report a blatant violation of federal law when people have weapons on-board the airplane he's 100% legally responsible for?

Famous people are (largely) less rich than you think but have pressure to appear rich as shit to maintain a status. It's not hard to imagine a young rapper with a single major radio hit and several minor hits is not worth 10 million+

lots of famous musicians have stated dealing drugs as a famous rapper is a larger source of income tham music.

Drugs like Percocet (not the users) need to be more stigmatized. They’re a slow death sentence. 😢

The pilot did the correct and moral thing. WTF man? Are you a sympathizer of drug trafficking and bringing loaded weapons onto airplanes?
Was someone harmed by these actions?

This is a joke right? They had loaded weapons on-board with 70 lbs of weed. That's a bad look no matter the situation.
What the fuck is a "bad look"?

Yes, I don't think the pilot should report a black man, who poses absolutely no harm to his person (or anyone else!), on all this lame bullshit that we've all decided we can call the cops on a black man for.

Lol. Yes people are constantly harmed by drug trafficking and armed traffickers. I’m not going to debate someone who has such an unrealistic and naive worldview.

You know one thing airplane components aren't designed to withstand? Bullets. Even the accidentally fired kind.

What's wrong with you? Bringing some guns on the airplane is okay?

Ya'll need to quit moral highhorsing about "drug trafficking". It doesn't matter if it was 70lbs or 70 tons, it's weed. That same shit Rich White folks are making billions selling storefront while legislating minorities out of the industry in multiple cities across America. Same shit bout to be legal in 3 weeks in Illinois. Get over it lol.
Well you had kids dancing to Mask Off 2 years ago. Like I could’ve believe it when that song first played on the radio and my son asking me what’s a Percocet. This shot is getting so mainstream it’s crazy.

Like this is what the kids look up to now.
Yeah the shit is crazy. These labels would never allow dozens of white artists promoting meth, heroin, or pills on white marketed radio. The shit is a form of psyops.

Lol I only discovered Mask Off recently and it bumps, but playing shit like that 24/7 on urban mainstream radio is socially irresponsible. To add insult to injury, the sample is from Prison Song which is off an album dedicated to MLK shortly after his assassination. Some people have no accountability.
There is no sympathy for black bodies.

"RIP but wat a dumbass! lolol!"

Meanwhile Amy Winehouse and Kurt Cobain nearly got a fucking national holiday.

Edit: Not (mainly) talking about this site but in general.

If only these rappers were White war criminals, then we'd see that respect the dead! mandate.

The guns are fucking dumb. Bringing that much weed when it's almost legal everywhere shouldn't be a death sentance. the whole thing seems weird.

No I get that point I just don’t understand his mindset swallowing a bunch of Percocet. The weed and guns were going to be found. I guess he’s trying to avoid an additional charge but I’m wondering how many percs he swallowed trying to hide it.

Compared to a dead black 21 year old? Sure!
This is a really sad situation, but should the pilot see guns on his plane and go "if I report this, one of these really young people will try to swallow away evidence which are actually drugs which will mix very badly with the other drugs he's taking on this flight and cause him to overdose and die"?

Guns are very dangerous and the reaction from Juice Wrld was really unexpected and the interaction to the drugs was also very unexpected.

They were security's guns. This isn't a malum en se crime, I'm sure there's some way to fly guns legally as security.
Yeah, with the guns unloaded and locked away. In which case no one even has to know they exist and certainly no one has to call the police. Both because they never see them and also because that's how to legally handle it.

I don't think anyone here is mad at the pilot. The scorn is towards US society. What should he morally had faced time for? They would have aimed to put him away for decades for what? Knowing damn well the prosecution and jury members probably all smoked weed themselves at one point.

The first thread where it was assumed it was a "normal" OD was nothing but sympathetic and people lamenting the fact that this new gen of rappers seems to all be druggies who are killing themselves.
