FYI, Target opted NOT to carry the Spinosaurus in stores - they believe it's a niche item. Don't expect the "Legacy Collection" label to carry forward, it's been a hindrance. Legacy style items will likely be mixed into the main line in the future.

Whaaaaat? "Niche"? C'mon... I walk in and see empty racks of sold stuff, but plenty of those legacy 6 packs (prob the price tag for them). Spino not even on the site right now -_- I wonder what was so problematic about the Legacy set?
Also, ate the "holiday plush" the ones shown at Toy Fair? Haven't seen any plush out yet, so I'm assuming.
Feels bad. For the first time, I have no care to watch a Jurassic movie and I don't get any warm feelings while attempting to start it or sample a scene from the middle of the film.
I bought it on vudu on release day and only managed to watch the brachy reveal scene which did nothing for me despite trying to be a breathtaking moment (granted, I saw it in the theater twice but that doesn't stop other scenes in other films in the series from still being awe-inspiring).

I kinda wish Universal and Wayforward continued their relationship after The Mummy Demastered was the only good thing coming out of their "Dark Universe".
A Fallen Kingdom 2D-Metroidvania would have been a cool thing considering that it could be set in a huge old mansion with a dock, an undergound-lab and a surrounding forest, swarming with dinosaurs and security guards/mercernaries.
Too bad that won't happen.

So which version of Fallen Kingdom did everyone pickup? The Target exclusive looked pretty good, but I had to get the 3D copy. Kind of annoying, because sometime in the future, I'll want the 4K version :/

I got the vudu disc+digital version which sent me the BR from wal-mart with the mini funko pop keychain set of Blue and Owen.
I didn't get to see Fallen Kingdom in theaters. First time I missed watching one of the Jurassic films in theaters. Not sure yet if I want to spend the money to buy it yet, considering the response...but I'm also really curious and do want to watch it. Heh.
I want the Mattel Spinosaurus so bad I don't wanna pay the crazy Ebay prices... I feel like the moment I do its going to magically show up in U.S stores.

They * should * be safe, as they're part of already existing SKUS that target has committed to and orders.

I decided to take a stab at redesigning the Jurassic World Allosaurus more accurately. As the film states those we saw were juveniles it gives some leeway.
The gif shows the original film design I worked from, and how I mostly adhered to Scott Hartman's reconstruction. It's not perfect, but I wanted to do the Allosaurus in a way that felt more real yet classic Jurassic Park.
Thoughts?

Yeah, they're just assortment refreshes, so they're safe.
Any word on another novel like the evolution of Claire? I'm guessing it would've been announced by now... Maybe they should've stuck with a different character and it would've had more appeal. A shame but at least we got this one. Claire went from being a character I hated to one I like.

It looks better for it to be more rounded out anyway. People love to depict dinosaurs as if their skin is wrapped around their bones like tight rubber. I'm sure you've already seen "If animals were drawn like dinosaurs." Smoothing out those angles helps.
I totally missed seeing these the other day, but I am definitely going to preorder the standing and attacking raptors. Been looking for a while for more affordable, and very detailed raptors. Was close to buying the raptors attacking the t-rex statue from Universal years back, and glad I didn't after hearing how bad the paint job was :/

After months of waiting patiently I finally got the Spinosaurus. Got two of them through the target app last week, so retail price for each.

Havenxt been happy with some of Series 3's paintjob, so been passing on most of them...
It was online only a few days last week. Every time they went up for sale the quantities were really low and it was always super early in the morning. Not sure if they have any more left.

The TLDR is no dinosaurs invading cities, feathers are probably happening with new species from new companies, more connection to Jurassic Park, and the greater expanded universe will be growing, providing more content for fans who want more than a film every three years.

I know you didn't like the more "resident evil" parts of the Fallen Kingdom like the auctioning and human cloning. But it definitely did its job in setting up the ground work for that expanded universe stuff I think.
Still wish we'd see a film like the opening of FK though.
So I recently read Jurassic Park: Redemption on Comixology (all 5 issues were free). Wow... story-wise there was some interedting ideas with Tim and Lex grown up with their own companies, but the art? Covers were good, but I could NOT stand the art style in the comic. The dinosaurs looked really bad too, to the point where I didn't even know what I was looking at >_>
