The dpad, on the other hand, feels like it's only a matter of time unless Nintendo really REALLY hates money (or taking obvious suggestions from others).

I don't think so, but I also don't think he knows what will be announced. I think he's saying this from the perspective of a fan anticipating the direct announcements.

been playing around with the dpad on the switch since owning a switch for a week now. its not as bad as some make it seem. its not great, but its not bad as the many stiff dpads ive experienced on say the xbox controller. its good for 2d games but not fighting games and games with multiple degree of movements.
