Oh, I absolutely feel I would have had a better grasp on my deck with more plays.I meant games.
I think part of the appeal of the game is learning your deck over more than just a single game. It does raise an interesting question as to how best to demo without a deck feeling far inferior to another.
I didn't feel like it was a bad game mechanically, but it seemed imbalanced. Again, I don't know if that's due to the decks or the players. The person I was playing with was very much a seasoned MTG player, so they probably had an advantage in general. They even hit the "rule of six" a couple times, whereas I was never able to combo a card at all.
I think I was more intrigued with the idea of the game. FFG has announced a "unique" board game that has a unique assortment of elements to create quests and scenarios coming out as well. I think this is probably more up my alley. But then, the barrier of entry on that is many times higher than that of Keyforge.
