She won't be saying that anymore since she won't be on KFGD anymore. They can be light/silly sometimes but the quality of discussion is still really good, imo.

I tried them in the past and found that I like Andrea better on KF than WGG. I'm still subbed to them though so and pop in occasionally so I'll surely try them again anyway.
Sigh my fear with Our Cool Freinds (cant remember the goddarn name for some reason) was realized when I listened to the Josh Macuga episode. Which was that the show would be even MORE about "the guest" than even a GoG with a guest. I always liked it best when they were just contributing to general discussion topics and not just about themselves. The episode was still pretty good anyway but still.
Personally, I couldn't stand WGG because of Britt. Too many of the things that come out of her mouth make me physically cringe. When they lost Alexa that's when I unsubscribed.
I think the show is really good, but I agree that I liked the old model of guests bringing topics to GOG. I understand the point of KFP is to keep it as the core group, but maybe every once and a while they could have a guest. Or make another podcast that's like KFP, but with guests. What I would like to see, in regards to WHCF is, once they get a bigger studio, have it ape the style of the Josh Macuga Show. While I've never actually watched an episode, I skimmed one once, and the style is like a late-night talk show. The host sits at a desk, whereas the guest sits on a couch (or couch chair).
Oh no I love that KFP doesn't have guests anymore. I just think it would be ideal if WHCF wasn't entirely just about the guest's life
On today's Party mode, Greg mentions Gary getting mad at Lucy James for not knowing what the Magna Carta is. Was this on a stream somewhere or off cam? I wanna see.

idk if ya'll fuckers are just getting to me but I listened to the first 25 minutes of the latest kfp and I'm like wtf. it started off as if they are already in the middle of the episode (because clunky pre show to actual show transitioning probably) and I never got grounded with what they were talking about. Maybe because I was in a bad mood when listening to it but it didn't really help get me out of it lol.
You almost have to watch the "full" show. Some of the funniest stuff happens in the pre and post shows anyways. I understand why that turns some people off, though.
Usually the beginning of the actual show is handled well enough. The post show tease is what usually gets me though.
They should move Screencast to Monday this week. SO MUCH MARVEL!

Lmao, I kind of wish they had live streamed their reactions tonight as they were finding out about each film on their twitter feed.
I know it's been brought up before, but good lord those new thumbnail images are absolutely embarrassing. I genuinely couldn't recommend any of their content to friends when that's the first thing you see. It's been brought up in the subreddit multiple times and every time one of the KF people claims they "have" to do it because of YouTube algorithms, which makes it even more embarrassing when those videos can't even crack 20k views except for when they put porn in the title. The E3 press conference reaction videos also did the same amount of views as they usually do. I'd hate to see what kind of views they'd get if these god awful thumbnails are actually helping.
Yesterday's KFGD was weird. Andrea said you could only spend 1 something a day (GTA online) but she didn't know/mentioned that it are in-game days. They only last 45 minutes meaning you could spend a lot more real money if you want.
She was also a little bit weird in Friday's Switch discussion. She was really against the new Switch model. Even though it's not really a new model at all. The PS4 pro you can buy today also has some slight improvements. Someone mentioned that in the show and she didn't care

At least Andrea has a genuine opinion on things rather than coming to EVERY news story and saying "Well I don't know much about this subject". Like, what is the actual point of having a daily news show if you don't know anything about any of the stories?
Also, I've heard the $1 limit per day number cited in many places outside of Andrea. Rockstar/Take Two's messaging and the reporting on this have quite clearly been very muddled everywhere.
Just listened to yesterday's show and as usual Andrea's opinions on these subjects is utter crap. I'm glad she's leaving. Half the time she never knows what she is talking about.
I can forgive her some of the times but especially in the Switch case (Fridays episode) she was just plain wrong. Someone tried to correct her and she didn't change her opinion. That is just annoying to listen to
Yeah, it's for that specific reason that I'm glad she's going. Unlike most I'm not really that bothered by her 'corporate shilling' as I don't even play GAAS, but I can't stomach her arrogance and complete inability to even entertain the idea she might be wrong on a subject.

You say that, yet there is literally no proof that it's working for Kinda Funny. They're still doing incredibly poor when it comes to views. A bigger problem than their thumbnails is that their SEO has been garbage since day 1 and they've never even tried to address it.

They're literally getting the same amount of views as they were before they started using the thumbnails.

By using my eyes to look at the view counts for their videos? The last episode of the KF Podcast has 21k views. Before that episode, the KF podcast had been averaging 20,000 views per episode. If these thumbnails actually are working it means the podcast did 1k better than their average, which IMO is not even remotely worth the cringeworthy nature of those thumbnails. Not to mention, several earlier episodes have between 25k and 30k views without having to use a thumbnail like that.
My point is, who's to say the numbers wouldn't be lower without the thumbnail

Out of curiosity, I went and looked at both of their Patreons and it paints an incredibly bleak picture for the channel. KF Prime is on track to have the fewest patrons in its history 7 months from now and KF Games is on track to hit an all-time low next month. Add in the fact that they haven't grown either of the channels views or sub counts in years and I have no idea how they manage to keep expanding. To me, it genuinely seems like those ad deals Tim cuts are keeping the lights on.
I ask to see if you actually have some substantial sample size of reasonable comparisons. We only really have some scattered examples to try and compare. The type of topic is going to have an impact on view count. Aside from the obvious, idk what exactly would make some amount more or less views, regardless of the thumbnail style. Also you pointing out that their subs are going down works further against that point than anything.

Their subs aren't going down, they're plateauing. People aren't leaving the channel, but they aren't attracting any new viewers.

I live in the Netherlands so I don't really know what PAX is but I think Pax is in the wrong here.
I have seen some Colin fans who are ordinary people just loving games who bought tickets to see the Colin panel. They bought airplane tickets, booked hotels and took days of from work.
I don't see anything funny about them having to go through the disappointment. Luckily there are people from Ign, kinda funny best friends and lawyers who question Paxs decision. Even Jeff Cannata openly criticized Pax.
