By the end of the century, Arabia, North Africa, Australia. and the American Southwest will be too hot in the Summer for human habitation. It's going to get bad.
I just came back to kuwait for a vacation. It's really really hot today outside but inside it's the same
Living in Bahrain I remember that hell heat + humidity. No thanks to that Phoenix is bad enough.
Don't worry guys. It's going to get much worse. We are only getting started with climate change.

Unfortunately, "...recorded the highest temperature on record!" is probably something we'll be hearing year on year from here on out.

I've been in 110 Fahrenheit before here and that was brutal. A/C could barely keep up with the heat outside. I can't imagine 123!

Lol I used to live there, and one of the only things I miss is the weather. But then again, I moved back to Canada.

I'm tired of assholes saying, "Kuwaiti are lazy and they never leave their house" I have a headache from walking for 10 minutes in the sun today, It's just not realistic to be out during this time of the year.
Now imagine how hot it is in cars that have been sitting all day.

I remember when i was a kid walking home from school in saudi arabia which also has similar temp. I would go to the bathroom first and literally drench my cloths and hat in water and by the time i was home i was dry.
When my father wanted to use the car he would turn it on and actually stand out side waiting fir the ac to cool the interior. The seats would burn your skin otherwise

Considering it's still the first half of June I'll bet that local record from 2016 will be broken by quite a bit before summer's over.
No need to feel stupid. Think of it like this: if you were told to prepare a hot bath at a certain temperature, would you measure the heat of the water right beneath the faucet or on the opposite side of the tub to know it was ready?

I thought the record was higher for some reason, a bit over 130, or maybe that was a reading that remains unverified. Today's high over here in the California desert is 108, and right now that I had a break and got into my car that's baking under the sun , the car's thermometer read 122.
If I was rich I would have 2 houses, one in the northern and one in the southern hemisphere. That way I can move the southern hemisphere from May-August and never have to experience summer.
It got up to 116F one day last summer here in Southern California - and I don't mean the desert either, or the valley, I mean near the coast in Irvine.

That's what a lot of retired people do for winter, well in RV's not houses though. Since our temperatures are mild where I live, we get "Snowbirds" from Canada who spend the winter down here.
