Las Vegas Democratic presidential debate: Everything you need to know

The Nevada debate, featuring six candidates, is the last before the state's caucuses.
About tonight's debate:
Who made the stage?
Six candidates qualified for the debate — former Vice President Joe Biden; former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg; Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana; Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.; Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.; Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.
Where to watch the debate?
The debate will air live on NBC News and MSNBC, and it will stream live on NBC News NOW on OTT devices, NBCNews.com, MSNBC.com, the NBC News mobile app, NBC News' and MSNBC's Facebook pages and online at The Nevada Independent. It will also air live in Spanish on Universo, as well as the Noticias Telemundo mobile app and website and Noticias Telemundo's Facebook page.

NBCNews.com will also live blog the debate, including fact checks and analysis.
And yes, I guess Chuck Todd is moderating again...
When and where is the debate?
The two-hour debate, which is being hosted by NBC News, MSNBC, Noticias Telemundo and The Nevada Independent, is being held at the Paris Theater in Las Vegas. It's scheduled to start at 9 p.m. ET.

The event has five moderators — "NBC Nightly News" and "Dateline NBC" anchor Lester Holt; NBC News political director Chuck Todd, moderator of "Meet the Press"; NBC News chief White House correspondent Hallie Jackson, host of "MSNBC Live"; Noticias Telemundo senior correspondent Vanessa Hauc; and Jon Ralston, editor of The Nevada Independent.

Candidates will have 1 minute 15 seconds for answers and 45 seconds for follow-ups at the moderators' discretion.

Bloomberg is going to fuck this up isn't he? Pete should be getting shit on, but I have a feeling that everyone is going to shit on Bloomberg instead.

Idk bankrupting a casino seems pretty difficult. Might require some real business acumen. Maybe this group just doesn't have what it takes.

I expect Bloomberg to get jumped at this event by the other Democratic nominees. Hold your horses everyone, it's about to get ugly.

Please smash Bloomberg into the ground. There can be multiple winners but one loser MUST be this rich boy who thinks he can buy the election.

I'll probably tune in just to watch Bloomberg get decimated, but he is going to try to take the whole party down with him and maybe I'm better off not watching. I'm trying to not drink so much these days, so yeah...I'll just follow along on Twitter I guess.

Really? not even Bernie?
I don't know. An 80 year old heart attack victim that the media and government are fighting against who won't show his medical records? I mean, yes, this is the Trump way of politics but the DNC / Democrats aren't the RNC / Republicans. So I see it all going very poorly.

Though there is similar treatment of Warren by the media too. So I guess it's just bad all around for everyone.

I don't think Bernie has to dunk on Bloomberg. The moderate candidates have more to gain from attacking him, and less to lose. I think Bernie will make some pointed criticisms but I actually expect Biden to go hardest.

I feel like this is going to be a big one, but damn, I'm not sure I have the energy for another 2-3 hour debate tonight. I might need to take a nap first.

Debate is at 2AM my time. Looking forward to the winners and losers articles when I wake up. Hope for a strong performance from Warren and Biden.

Sanders will do what he always does: stay on policy and use that policy talk to beat his opponents, mostly Bloomberg. Part of me wishes more candidates realized this is how you win. But then another part of me wants Klobuchar to throw the sexual harassment cases at Bloomberg because it's not like she's going to focus on policy anyway.

Does anyone else think this imminent trashing of Bloomberg is going to benefit Buttigieg? Feel like he's going to fly under the radar instead of being trashed

Given the choice between Bloomberg and Pete, I think Pete's a no-brainer. I don't care who else flies under the radar - I want to see Bloomberg bodied by every other person on stage. I want to hear boos from the audience when he speaks (if there's actually an audience). I want the party to wholly reject him as a candidate (though I doubt I'd get that wish).

The noms need to be careful of making this into an "all Bloomberg" debate. I think if anything, if they are all on attack specifically at him, that would have the opposite effect and would pave his road to the nomination. I know everyone wants to see their person go after Bloomberg, but look at the Republican debates leading to 2016. They were essentially the Trump show and that lead to no one else standing out.

If someone wants to win, they need to demonstrate why their leadership, and plans would be best to beat Trump, not just rehashing over and over why Bloomberg sucks, or whatever. If Bloomberg is the star of this debate and the guy on camera speaking or being spoken about every stinking minute- he won. Just saying.

While you're right that it can't be all about taking digs at Bloomberg (just like it can't all be about "let's get rid of Trump"), I remember the early Republican debates, where everyone was playing nice with Trump, hoping to pick up his base when he inevitably dropped out. This is a different situation, in that Bloomberg entered the race late and we're already into the primaries and he hasn't been on a debate stage yet. I don't want anyone holding their punches - just make sure they connect.

Tonight will be a test for the electorate: if they're really driven by moral conviction or simply want the other candidate defeated.

Bloomberg was right. He is the unifying candidate.

Everyone vs. Bloomberg to destroy him.

I wanna see a bloodbath of them raking Bloomberg over the coals. He should walk away from the debate looking like Bilbo after giving up the Ring.

This debate's going to open up with Bloomberg alone on stage and every other candidate slowly walking towards him and snapping their fingers in unison

I kinda want to stay up and watch but I'm also sick and it's 9PM my time... I'll probably watch a little to see the general tone of how things go.
