I know I'm a few days/weeks to this while wearing this current avatar. Any maybe I'm a few weeks late to reading the out of context Contrapoints tweets, to which she was getting a lot of hate from non-binary trans people that she has gotten for more than a year when she kind off walked back on her "I'm Genderqueer" video, to which she was responding directly to those people who jump on her for a year later when she recounted that video, and maybe the anti-LGBT drive in this video was proven to be not-organic hate mob, or whatever, or whatever fevering for nearly a year. Maybe all or none of those things. Maybe it's worth the effort to ignore Natalie in all of her stream, personal and public, giving credence to non-binary people, and to cherry pick the most uncharitable viewpoint of her random tweets that made it out, public, now deleted, that didn't incorporate her viewpoints to those of which she was discussing, critiquing, and so on. Maybe it's best to take an ally, someone who agrees with the viewpoints nearly 100% but not necessarily with the messaging, or willingness to allow a hostile twitter to twist that messaging, again, something allowed to be more nuanced in the private streams and the AMA stream, or whatever. Maybe, retribution for the dumbassery of Destiny or whatever. Or, whatever alt-right, or whoever, that makes a mess of things. Whatever. Whoever. Whatever.
Whatever.

I don't think that's fair. I think she has gotten even more nuanced overtime. Her recent video on incel culture is evidence of that. I know her last video left a lot of people confused as to what the takeaway was supposed to be but I think that confusion comes with the territory considering the nature of the subject matter. I think her biggest issue with that video was not actively educating the viewer of the concepts she' relying on to make the video. She did a little but the presentation and style may have gotten in the way of that.I used to like contrapoints old stuff when she included a more nuanced take on an issue. Simultaneously bashing the skeptics but also either taking up their better points and expanding on them or presenting their reasoning. I think success hadade her play it safe which is a shame, we could use whatever biting commentary we can get.
Another great video from jose debunking the rights arguments against diversity
"Diversity" is a simultaneously important and buzzword-y term beloved by the media, corporations, real estate agents and elite universities. It's something to strive for and take pride in, a symbol of inclusion and tolerance.
While diversity is a noble feature – and something all large systems should strive for – it originally was not supposed to be an ends in-and-of-itself. Diversity, in this vein, has morphed under capitalism into a PR industry, supplanting notions of equity, decolonization and desegregation for something much more sanitized.
The term is now often used as a catch-all for making white people feel better about the schools they go to, businesses they run, neighborhoods they gentrify. It largely exists, in its current iteration, to ameliorate whiteness rather than confront it, allowing for the commodification of the idea while giving existing power structures a glossy patina of liberal race-awareness.
We are joined this week by journalist and author Jeff Chang, Vice President of Narrative, Arts, and Culture at Race Forward.
What's you're point? Her incel video completely left out the fact that some of those people have low cultural capital and poor looks. Instead focused on the dehumanisation element in an attempt to paint them all like that. It was basically like reading any article on incels.
We're absolutely fucked if this is representative of the average person. This was actually very insightful look into the mind of a "centrist" who voted for trump.
No, I don't think a fence-sitting centrist is representative of the average person. We're absolutely fucked if this is representative of the average person.
That was a really good episode and I was gonna bring it up in response to that video once I finished watched it.I think the argument that "diversity is inherently good" misses the mark for why people argued for it in the first place. Citations Needed covered this in their latest podcast episode:

BuzzFeed had a really good feature on them: https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/josephbernstein/prager-university

Boogie2988 thinks LGBTQ activists are bloodthirsty, heartless monsters who want him dead for thought crime even though he's been an "ally" his entire life. From 6-25-18, after he said that legal gay marriage should've waited 20 years to placate homophobes.
I specifically told him to engage in self-care & he still characterized me as a vicious bully who thought he deserves to be tortured for life. He's an abuser & manipulator
lmao at the Liberals getting the bullet first line. Had me cracking upthat was pretty hilarious to watch. The dismantling to the end made it really hard to listen to though. Destiny certainly goes for the kill.
I never really watched destiny debates because you know but that shit was funny as fuck.lmao at the Liberals getting the bullet first line. Had me cracking up
i think one's enough, that was painful at pointsHe did a follow-up with that same guy. Haven't seen it posted yet, though. I think it was Thursday night.
Jim said:People always fire back saying that these issues apply to way more industries than just video games. And to that I say: Oh, I know. I know what I'm doing.
Boogie2988 did the same abuser tactic of threatening suicide back when he was criticised as a member on NeoGAF, couldn't handle the criticism yet never disengaged or took part in self-care and blamed his mental state on others. That emotional manipulator video is on point.
I do find it interesting that he states in those DMs that half of his audience is conservative Republicans, like that was a good thing.
Short video about the legal status of Mein Kampf in Germany.
Not sure If I have to introduce the guy - he's new but if you saw Three Arrows' last video, he linked to KW's video about the same topic, where he analyzed NSDAP's manifesto point by point to prove that they were indeed right-wingers.The today part seems pretty similar to how it is with Leni Riefenstahl movies here in Poland. Public showings are only allowed if they're followed by a public discussion. So stuff like movie festivals and historical events can get a pass (which is how I saw Triumph Of Will - that edition was about art under totalitarian regimes).
I think i watched that video before and its really good.
Boogie is a real POS with his emotional manipulating. The one that got me the most was him complaining that someone called welfare on him and his reason for being so angry about it was essentially 'yeah i told them i was gonna kill myself, maybe not today or next week but once my stuffs in order but sending round someone to speak to me about this thing i said im gonna do was a horrible thing to do because it ruined my date and it wouldn't stop me doing it anyway and im not really gonna do it even though i am gonna do it at some point'.
The lack of logic or consistency in his statement about the situation was disgusting, especially considering the serious nature of the subject matter.
Hmm maybe it's a different video then the one I'm thinking of since I don't remember that from the one I watched previously. That video is on point...buuuut the guy's actually mad at Boogie for not sticking by his horrible opinions.
But this guy is a creep himself. Watch his Goblin Slayer video.
At least it's bipartisan that Boogie is an asshole. That video is on point...buuuut the guy's actually mad at Boogie for not sticking by his horrible opinions.

I found donoteat a few weeks ago. Binged all his videos in less than a day and subbed on Patreon. That guy is good.
