You know what, I've been thinking of possibly making some videos in the future on leftist topics. However, my videomaking skills are nowhere they need to be for the sensitivity and importance of the topics at hand, so I'm thinking that I may try to get my hand in other, more benign topics such as video games, music, movies, languages, comics, etc. to hone my skills.

Do whatever motivates you, i wouldnt worry about subject matter. Maybe start with small stuff and work your way up.

To be honest, I've had a YT account for over 10 years and have made quite a few videos throughout that time, so I worry that I may have said/done some not-so-great things myself. However, I do enjoy those other topics that I mentioned, just that I feel that their purpose isn't as important as the fight against bigotry, and that's why I think they need to be well-done, because I believe that production quality does indeed have an effect on changing general opinion and perception.

Shaun's and Donoteat's delivery crack me up. Especially Shaun when he delivers a joke. Usually funnier than the joke itself. Three Arrows i get

Contra's pronouns video was great. I laughed when Ben slipped up and called the person in question by her preferred pronoun, only to realize his the mistake and revert back to edgelord-mode and "correct" himself.

I didn't think I'd like the game (the mutilation made me squeamish enough) so I looked up the spoilers---it totally caught me off-guard because I didn't think the plot twist was that.

Needless to say I wanna see some in-depth analysis of it without buying and playing through it. Plus I'm broke.

Been meaning to ask frequenters of this thread this question. Given that a lot of the videos we post in this thread are from people with Marxist leanings and such does anyone here identify politically as a capital S Socialist, Communist, Anarchist or whatever?

To answer the question above; I try to avoid political labels beyond "I fall somewhere on the left but god knows where", but I guess if I had to choose one, I would probably call myself a socialist? A lot of what I feel and think lines up with some of those philosophies.

Also, this video just released an hour ago is fuckin good

While maybe not a perfect fit for this thread, this guy, Pop Arena, is doing a chronological history on the shows that aired on Nickelodeon and he got to a show called Vegetable Soup that original aired on PBS in 1975. It was about race and prejudice and it was VERY direct, especially for a children's show. I thought his video did a really good job at showing how important a show like this is and it might be of interest to the people in this thread. It's worth a watch!

Looks like that Innuendo Studios video got taken down.

I assume it was falsely reported, didn't get a chance to watch it though.

Natalie Wynn has really emerged as a dominat figureon this scene. I amconstantly getting reccomendarions for podcasts she has guest appearances on or other people commenting on her, almost always other progressives. Conservatives seem unsure how to challenge her with how thoroughly she researches her subjects and that is refreshing.

Fyi: say what you will about Destiny, but damn, his debate video with a Jordan Peterson fan. Absolute masterpiece. And the amount of work needed to get the other "debater" to follow a logical chain of reasoning consisting of 2-3 steps, well.... its a ton of effort.

Pakman did a short video dissecting some of Dave Rubin's bs by analyzing one of his more recent interviews. It's a good one, IMO.

Jeez, I almost can't believe Rubin was on board with the Soros Nazi conspiracy theory. Dave looks at near his absolute worst in this takedown.

I don't think I noticed this post before. Definitely good luck getting the channel started. It feels like progressive videos are starting to gain more traction on Youtube at the moment so this should be a good time to begin.

Well, I haven't made any political videos yet, I want to do some more harmless stuff first to get good at video editing and making before I try to dig into more serious stuff because I want the quality to be good.
