So let's face it, Tifa's OG design is... not great. Comedy sized breasts, the outfit is incredibly bad, not even from a "you're gonna fight? in that?" standpoint, but it's just ugly.

I think no matter what, people are going to be upset. If Tifa gets a really nice re-design with subtle nods to her previous look while also updating it and making her more battle ready, GAMERZ will rise up and be upset that their waifu has been altered so much, and that PC culture this and censorship that yada yada. And of course, if they keep the design, then... Square needs to get with the times and deserve any flak they get. Regardless, people WILL be upset about a game they have been waiting a long time for being altered.

With Aerith's FACE that men took issue with, I can only imagine the hell that the Tifa breast size debate will bring.

Do you guys have faith that Square will knock it out of the park..?

Before I knew Tifa from FFVII, I saw her in Hentai (Doujinshi). And that was that. So regardless of what happens now, I will happily accept the new design.

After seeing the designs for Cloud and Aerith and Barret... I’m rest assure the designs for the rest will be great as well, they have proven themselves so far.

Her outfit was fine in the original. She can ditch the skirt but it's not something that needs a complete redesign. Don't think her boobs need to be a real talking point because they've toned them way down since and her watermelons were only such in some of the particularly wack CG scenes.

We already have a thread on this...and also your thread is way too passive aggressive in tone against people who may like her original design.

Changing Tifa's look isnt inherently "getting with the times".

I dont really agree. Ridiculous exaggeration of proportions in their early CG aside, Nomura's design is fine and so is the gameplay render. Stick to her official CG render and things should be fine.

Didn't they make Tifa's breasts smaller a long time ago? It will be probably just be the old costume with that change.

there's no real reason to change the outfit. obviously, reduce the obnoxiously large chest then leave well enough alone. Maybe lengthen the shirt or skirt to play it safe. I really like the original design. Tifa has always been my favorite FF girl but wow, her AC outfit is just terrible. Gimme red boots and suspenders or gimme death.

I would honestly be suprised if they redesigned her since everyone that we've currently is using little tweaked version of their old designs.
Also, is there a meme about "Lets talk about" being used in the thread title or something? It seems there's more and more threads using it.

I guess I'm the only one who never liked her post-FFVII Advent Children CG design.

Loved her original art.

She'll be similarly proportioned to her Advent Children design and people will not care 5 minutes later and move on to something else to talk about, because there will be far more interesting things about this game.

for underage girls from niche games, the DMC light thing was self imposed by capcom and they took it out later. if that's not a problem people are being ridiculous

Yes and no. They weren't smaller in AC really or the 10th anniversary art. They were a bit smaller in Dissidia mainly due to the artstyle but they are pretty big in the G-Bike game portrait which is I think the most recent official art of Tifa

Sony has its policy and in theory could not allow Square to release the game on Ps4 unless Tifa is toned down/censored. Of course this is extremely theoretically and not remotely realistic given the games normally hit by the policy and no way Sony is going to say anything about FF7 and tell SE to change something even if some Sony Exec had personal issues with the design.

With that said Sony with its policy has reached self parody status now as the new Omega Labyrinth game isn’t just censored on Ps4 as expected but also had its logo changed on ps4 and the Omega removed because the form of the Omega sign kinda looks like boobs.

I hope she looks nothing like that in the remake. Her thin arms look ridiculous for a martial artist.
