Doesn't sound like a victim to me. Sounds like a guy who got what he deserved.
Even if he wasn't poaching, I'm of the firm belief that we are still animals part of the food chain. If you're an adult and walk into a land teeming with lions with no means or knowledge to protect yourself and you end up a meal, it's really not a tragedy.

Serves the damn poacher right though, sadly even if there were more incidents like this it wouldnt change anything. Not sure how they can really reduce poaching.

I've been to the Kruger park multiple times and poachers are a real problem, especially on the park border to Mozambique. The few rhinos left are at high risk, those are the only animals they dont mark the sighting locations on the boards
Eh, pretty easy to draw a distinction between sanctioned hunting and poaching, even if you find both repulsive.
