Got the HDR logo so I'm going to guess that it supports it.Can anybody test if Call of Duty Black Ops 2 supports the auto-HDR? If so, how does Tranzit look? Legit that's the thing I am most excited to see in a couple of months
What do you think the reason is behind some games not supporting it? UI? Engine-specific issues?
According to MS it's because it delivered less than desirable results when applied so they disabled it on certain titles. What do you think the reason is behind some games not supporting it? UI? Engine-specific issues?
Xbox 360
Lost Odyssey does support Auto HDR.
Blue Dragon does not support Auto HDR.
Downloaded and quickly tested both tonight.
not sure if The Witness had HDR before, but it sure does now. and it's very pretty.
It already had HDR before.
Edit: Sorry I read that as The Witcher 3 for some reason. No idea about The Witness...not my kind of game.
Something to keep in mind is that the Xbox version of Return to Arkham Asylum is bizarrely capped to 45 fps. This means consistent judder. I'm not sure if VRR can fix this? I believe Return to Arkham City runs at 30fps. Either way, I think you're probably best holding off and hoping for another re-release of the game that fixes these issues. Apparently the PC version of the game is solid too?I see Return to Arkham has Auto HDR, how is it for those that have tried? I own it on PS4/5 but if it's good enough I wouldn't mind rebuying.
If I recall correctly, there were reports that auto HDR didn't interact well with certain games. I'm regards to GTAIV, I believe it was reported that stationary white objects (e.g. road paint) + the dynamic time of day prevented auto HDR from generating pleasing results. Upon testing it personally, the game booted up in SDR, so I guess support for Auto HDR in this instance has officially been removed.i thought GTA IV had auto hdr? Did it get removed, cuz i guess DF said it was a lil wonky
I was wondering why Gears 3 had HDR now. Didn't like it, way too bright.
Yes, there's this thread : https://www.resetera.com/threads/xb...games-all-titles-platforms-and-details.24378/Great thread! I was curious about why some games seems to have HDR while others didn't. Thanks for compiling the list guys!
Is there another list that shows which games run at higher resolutions and/or frame rates?
playing Gears 2 now, I'm shocked it's at 30fps actually. Kinda jarring after Gears 5 lol
Auto HDR is not a backward compatibility feature, it also works on some X|S enhanced games. It doesn't. Auto HDR is a backwards compatibility feature for Xbox One/360 games, and Like A Dragon is X/S enhanced.
Ok, I'm hoping it works for all games, but I can understand if some don't support it until approved or tested. I know The Touryst doesn't have HDR, same with Haven and Call of the Sea.Auto HDR is not a backward compatibility feature, it also works on some X|S enhanced games.
It works in Tetris Effect Connected if you disable its own HDR setting, and maybe The Touryst (I'll have to check).
I think it's just disabled by default on newer games until tested and approved.
