See I don't think that at all, I actually think it looks like people who think they're being smart and modern with their quirky look at race and identity. They're the kind of people who go "we know our film won't be for everyone and it's not very PC!" and sadly don't even realise how unbelievably racist and not OK this is. It's the kind of comedy that people would have done for a sketch about 15 years ago and even then it would've been frowned at.
I think there are some very funny SNL skits. This wasn't one of them.
It's a thing a lot of "film makers" love to do which I noticed is really prevalent here in the US, they'll submit their movie to a no name "film festival" and then slap a generic logo saying official selection on their trailers...it's the same shit a lot of people do when they submit for the short film corner at Canes and then go about saying how their short is at Canes, when in fact the Short Film Corner has nothing to do with the festival itself and submission is first come first serve, just pathetic...
