Fictional Planeswalker death on a fiction races fictional weapon, of course. I suppose I should put my rage into nicer terms, just expressing how I feel about these people. I understand why some of them play, but I doubt a majority of them are playing for the fun of Magic and the wide variety of decks it offers at that point, and if that's the case you should be playing in Ranked.I don't think we should even joke about murdering people who play a certain deck. That's messed up.
People who play no-win condition decks and/or Teferi decks could have a special queue where they only play each other, sure, but people who play mono red or blue just make sense because of how the game is set up. If there weren't daily win bonuses or adults had tons of free time, sure you could try decks that take 20-30 minutes to win, but as it is that's a reasonable approach.
It's also a good experience to play against, since win or lose the game will be over within only a couple minutes, they're fair decks with both creatures and spells (plus ways to counter them), and you haven't wasted 25 minutes of your life seeing if someone endlesslly clicking Teferi actually brought something else to the game or if they're going to screw up and mill themselves.
It's ironic because I'd rather face against Esper Control than mono-R/U decks.Yeah I'll take mono-coloured aggro over Esper control any day. I tend to play cheap creature-based decks and aggro matches tend to be over in 4 or 5 turns. I keep meaning to switch over to Bo3 but I'm always afraid that my sideboarding is subpar, my deck has to many hard counters or that I run into Nexus without enough enchantment removal.

I play Abzan Aristocrats and feel the same way, but I usually run Duress mainboard to help out.Guess it's all down to the matchup. I normally play Mardu Aristocrats so Cry of the Carnarium is just straight-up game over for me.
Well, yes, but if you'r eon the draw you have to "have it" a turn sooner, which is big.I'd say that aggro matchups are less about the coin flip and more about "do you have it."
All their updates/events/etc. have gone up at 7am PST, so I imagine that's also when WAR drops? Not sure though. What time does WAR go up? Wonder if I'll be able to play this evening
If you want more rewards tied for winning ranked, that directly incentivizes playing faster decks because of limited real life time, at least for most adults I'm guessing.the ranked rewards are not worth the time investment at all, so once i hit gold i see 0 point in not getting daily wins in casual no matter what i'm playing. blame WOTC for having such trash rewards. give out rare/mythic wildcards for rewards and you'd see casual become 'slightly' healthier if you just wanna screw around. but as it is now , dozens of wins for like one extra pack? lol no thx brah
oddly enough this is one of the only things hearthstone really beats MA at by a mile. in that game there's 0 point to not playing ranked, monthly rewards are pretty good, you get rewards and wins counted for ranked that you don't for casual (of course negatively HS has pitiful daily gold win rewards to add to this as well), casual in that game doesn't offer any serious benefits unless you're crazy desperate for a daily win. but in this game you can get 15, which takes a long ass time generally speaking. not bad but just really incentivizes playing fast games in casual modes, ranked is pretty pointless.

I pretty much never bother with ranked, I thought I would but it just felt pointless to me and I'm very competitive so I'm not sure why, maybe I just don't value ladder grinding as a way to measure skill in mtg. I like the comp event a lot though, that one makes money too! It's kind of a goldmine actually.
EDIT: NVM it's fixed now, thanks for th code!
Haha, yeah. People had mentioned it when that trailer first popped up but I didn't actually watch it till now and just started cracking up once I realized what the song was, haha.EDIT: NVM it's fixed now, thanks for th code!
HOLY SHIT
LINKIN PARK IN 2019
Oh daaaaaang, that's a real disappointment to me. I didn't realize the "planeswalker in every pack" thing was only for real life packs. :(
Only 1/3 of my PlayWarSpark packs had a planeswalker, and it was an uncommon one.
I feel like that messaging could have been made better because I've been hyping myself for months about that. I guess in real life it's still true.
*edit* Going sealed did get me 6 planeswalkers though? 4 rare, 2 uncommon, but it could have just averaged out.
With the new blue/white/black cards and blue/black being so strong, I wouldn't be surprised if it stays strong or gets even more popular. Thought Erasure for a free surveil, learning someone's deck, and hurting their early game is an ultra easy choice.Great day sorry I have to bitch BUT:
Just want to play my new B/W brew and first 3 matches are against Esper, they go first and thought erasure turn 2.
Any other deck I have a chance lol.
Edit-- currently they have all code redemptions disabled.
