To both of you, I just want to point he mentioned the new Planeswalkers specifically! I agree there's quite a few clearly non-white Planeswalkers otherwise.

It was actually the opposite. Wizards raised the wholesale price without raising the MSRP, so Walmart raised their retail price to cover the difference.

There are three new Planeswalkers: The shepherd girl, Teyo Verada, and Davriel Cane. Teyo could potentially finally be Hispanic representation. The shepherd is white, and Davriel appears to be white, but could be something else.

I actually did, but then I edited the post when I realized many of them were characters like Arlinn Kord that I just didn't recognize.
I mean let him really have a moment. I'm so sick of Bolas I would love if he somehow failed while the threat didn't just end

I actually really like this, since anyone who seems the thread title and has lapsed from Magic will click, interestedly, then immediately run out to buy packs.
When I was telling my wife every booster pack would have a planeswalker she literally raised her hand excitedly and was like "I WANT A PLANESWALKER!"
I have to think it's going to draw more people than usual for the prerelease events.
DOM was the biggest prerelease event until Guilds of Ravnica, then Allegiance after it. They're on an upward trend.
Guilds of Ravnica got me back into Magic after I lost interest sometime around Oath of the Gatewatch.
I still paid attention to spoilers for the blocks in between but it was always a case of me going "Do I feel motivated to really dive back in? ... Nawww."
Planeswalker extravaganza in War of the Spark is guaranteed to hold my interest.

I expect the Mythic edition to be 24 planeswalkers. That way it brings the total number of Mythic Edition planeswalkers to a solid 40 AND it fits with the theme of 1 planeswalker
