Did they ever have pac-babies?
Did they ever have pac-babies?
I read this over and over and I can't make sense of it lol. Maybe you should do a self-analysis of your comfortably about the subject of sex, OP. That's what I got from your post.Maybe I saw Ellie as my daughter and now she was kissing some character (which we know not much about yet) who has an ex boyfriend standing there watching them.
I think he avatar quoted you as a harmless joke and then what he wrote was a reply to OP, not to you. It did give the impression that he was talking to you, but I don't think so....the knowledge that some women have sex and enjoy it is weird to you? perhaps you have something in common with OP
You should play Kassandra in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. I love her classic Greek sexual liberalness. Probably one of my favorite parts in the game is having her flirt with everything that moves. Don't know why but I find it really endearing to have a philandering woman for once where it's played not as a weird fetishistic thing.
This is the one case that actually annoyed me. No buildup for their relationship and we just are supposed to accept that's Haruka's baby. I spent half the game thinking surely it was someone else's baby, and couldn't figure out why everyone just accepted the baby as Haruka's. In the end I was okay with their relationship, but it really threw me for a loop. I would have liked to see more of their interactions that led to their relationship blossoming.
Holy shit that opening post. Huh...dude like really? You aren't thinking too deep, I think you aren't thinking enough.
In The Last of Us we all know how Ellie feels towards Riley. They kiss each other in the DLC which I think is suitable for characters.
They like each other and it's a kiss, but when Ellie was kissing in the Last of Us: Part 2 trailer it felt awkward. Maybe I saw Ellie as my daughter and now she was kissing some character (which we know not much about yet) who has an ex boyfriend standing there watching them.
She felt lonely, he felt horny, bam, Haruto. Story as old as the world itself. It was most certainly slightly weird for me as a lifelong fan watching Haruka develop continuously from child to teenager but I didn't for a second doubt it's her baby.
"let's make a thread in a video game forum after playing tlou and reading scum manifesto"It's like the OP read some feminist critiques but decided to repackage it in the most paternalistic way possible.
They can only kiss men if you choose so in the RPG realm. Why would you think that? Any major game this generation with a woman as a protagonist that you only can kiss men?
It's okay to have a game not have a player-created character... when that pre-made character looks and acts like the one you were going to create and roleplay as anyways?Yup, even when a character is female, most people will still use it as an avatar for themselves in some capacity.
"I'm not gay, why's this game making me gay?!"
What? No, I just read your post in Yennefer's voice....the knowledge that some women have sex and enjoy it is weird to you? perhaps you have something in common with OP
If the devs can't force the woman character to kiss a dude in the same way god of war and other games can force the player to have straight relationships than we still have a problem.
Zero in Drakengard 3 being completely unapologetic about her wants and needs for sex made her vastly more interesting than the many chaste, helpless waifs that litter games throughout history.
100% agreedWe need more sexualy active women protagonists, specially straight ones.
But devs are afraid the male players will feel icky for having their controlled character kiss a dude.
Honestly, it's not something I've thought extremely hard about. 1st playthroughs of games with a choice for me will just be my specific gender to help with immersion. However, I've still enjoyed games with female protags as well.Ugh, i hate this so much, when I heard most players played Alexios in ACO, I was floored. Whats up with people wanting to play themselves? Fuck that.
You don't think there's a difference between a female character having a canon straight love interest, and a straight love interest suddenly forced onto a character who you could play as 100% gay for the entirety of the game?Everyone kicked off a fuck storm when Ubisoft forced the female protagonist to have a child forcing her to be straight, please could everyone make up their minds what they want.
I'm not getting baited into this nonsense any further

Uh, it's not complicated. AC Odyssey was supposed to be about player choice, the person you're quoting is talking about a pre-set protagonist.Everyone kicked off a fuck storm when Ubisoft forced the female protagonist to have a child forcing her to be straight, please could everyone make up their minds what they want.

Can someone explain to me what did the OP mean? I honestly didn't understand his point, hence I can't vote.
Oh purlease, Ubisoft advertised Oddessey as a game where you can set your protags sexuality, that was why there was a backlash. It's not the same issue.Everyone kicked off a fuck storm when Ubisoft forced the female protagonist to have a child forcing her to be straight, please could everyone make up their minds what they want.

As far as jrpgs go Xenosaga episode 1 comes to mind with Shion and Kevin's relationship. But it isn't front and center and largely takes a backseat to the major events.I can't think of any games that truely explore female sexuality in any meaningful way, which is such a shame because it could foster empathy within male gamers. If they started now, I'm certain there would be backlash in the gaming community, but like most representation issues, it just needs to be more frequent and the outcry will die down.
Edit: I'm not referring to just rpgs where the PC is a blank slate and they can Fuck anyone. Like a truely developed female lead.
DAMMIT I GOT NINJA'D
He feels uncomfortable when women have sex in games because they're "strong and independent" but has no problem when it's a man having sex.
Aka, a virtual slut-shaming thread
I think that's nuts.To say someone wouldn't or shouldnt dress a certain way because of their personality is slut shaming in my book
