None of it is surprising. A lot of white supremacists are obsessed with "Christendom". They're not Christians, but they are "cultural Christians" in that they consider Christianity to be a part of the western tradition and any encroachment of a foreign religion is therefore an attack on it.

Hence the worship of Crusaders, the Byzantine Empire, Catholic and Orthodox art, the obsession with Russia, etc. that is prevalent among a lot of them these days.
