The idea of these terrorists sitting in prison for the rest of their lives is making me happy at least. 4Chan is scum but even then Moot, 4Chan admin, managed to grow a speck of moral fiber and banned all the paedoes away, those paedoes formed 8Chan.
It's like voat and reddit. After the main site decided that certain parts were a little too much even for them (such as the paedophiles) they all went off to their own version consisting basically only of that content.

Excusing the behavior of sites like 4chan and 8chan as faux-edgy, as kids with too much time on their hands trolling each other for kicks—that's part of what's allowed the culture of hate to spread. There are children now who have grown up with access to 4chan nearly their whole lives. Sick people have found companionship there for over a decade now. For every teenage edgelord throwing up a racist meme for lols there are three people who agree unironically.

Not that its important in regards to this topic but voat was not founded nor created because of NeoGaf. It was created as an alternative to Reddit nearly 5 years ago, as a truly "no rules" discussion board. As such is harbors terrible ideologies and people.

I'm sorry to keep asking questions, but this 4chan/8chan world is completely foreign to me. What is this referring to because I've seen this THQ thing referenced several times on the thread.
I don't know what to say to this. Woke up and this is just tragic and sickening. My heart goes out to the families and New Zealanders
