this part was sad
this is where we're at as a country, with people reasonably expecting to get shot up in public spaces
after all the school shootings, shootings in churches and synagogues, and shootings at music events there isn't really a public space where we can feel safe
this part was also sad
each individual story is so awful but there's so many individual stories that they all just get added to a pile
our country sucks

Not sure what theaters are like in Charm City but in NYC it would be pretty much impossible to get a gun in to a theater like that.

I saw Fiddler on the Roof ~2 years ago, and under this climate, I would have grabbed my wifes head and hit the deck, unless I was too scared to do anything else.

Sarcasm aside, not shocked anti-blackness is alive and well in that area of Maryland. Lot of elitist shitbags living there, and as a black person you always have to wade your way through daily microaggressions.
Edit: Sadly also not surprised about the rise in anti-Jewish racism. There is a rather populous Jewish presence in the Owings Mills/Catonsville/Reisterstown area, and I believe not to long ago (as in, even before Trump) the Jewish museum downtown was vandalized.
I like my state but it has more than its fair share of bigoted scumbags unfortunately.
