Shokgeuki no Soma

So glad there's more because if this was it, it would be a super shitty finale. More tsundere crap, the ability to "strip buildings" (what the fuck), hopefully the last three chapters provide something. Maybe even have good art because Saeki has degraded quite a bit. Also, anyone that thinks he's going back to hentai, clearly don't know the first thing about "money". Way more money in professional manga work than porn.

Promised Neverland

SHE CAN TALK?

Dr. Stone

That explains the Dr. Slump reference on the cover. Of all the scientific advancements, I didn't expect stink bombs.

My Hero Academia

Re-Destro's story is interesting. Could it be his grandmother? I've heard people speculate it's the mother of the golden child (the one at the beginning of the series). Shigaraki hype though.

Black Clover

Fuck, this really is Bleach. "We defeated you!" "Nope, now I'm even stronger" Fuck off with this!

really love this page

And it is not the only perfect page of this chapter. I'm loving this series so much, it is already in my top 3 mangas even if it is still being published. It is so much fun, entertaining and feelingful.

Black Clover
Meh same shit as always, this arc is a disaster

Samurai 8
If Kishimoto wasn't such a big name this would get axed quickly, deservedly so

Kaguya
It's just so adorable, I loved every moment of this chapter

MHA
love the new bit of backstory we got, ReDestro is a pretty decent villain

TPN
I'm not a fan of Don and Gilda, chapter was kinda boring but I am still interested in how all this plays out

Soma
A finale that's as disappointing and shitty as the series itself

Kaguya 151:
I was a bit cold on the Ice Kaguya arc at first, but I will admit that this is a much better romantic pay off than what the festival arc offered.

I was never cold on it, but I could understand how some felt it to be a surprise and repetitive. The payoff thankfully ended up being well worth it.

Well the reason why Kishimoto can pull what he is doing is because he knows it wont be axed

Samurai 8 is lucky it has Kishimoto's name attached to it, because it's painfully mediocre in like every regard. I don't understand how this is what he came up with when he doesn't even have to handle the artwork this time

Chainsawman

Yes! Makima survived! But what did she do? Wonder if the others are okay...
Chainsaw Denji is great. So ruthless.
Seems Swordman is even more ruthless.
I'm amused that /a/ is calling him Shadman. More worth than the real one

Yeah, without Kishimoto involved, I imagine the first 5 chapters would've ended up very different. Like, we'd probably have had the whole standard cast (that we know is coming) in the first two chapters.

Eh, I don't think that's giving it enough credit. The look of the world and good character designs already elevates it above most of the amateur shonen that gets cancelled after a few issues.

Have not had time to read Samurai 8

What's the general consensus on it ?
It's ok, the world and premise are interesting, the art/design are quite nice (though can get quite busy and the lack of shading). So far I feel indifferent about the characters and it is definitely taking its time to get things moving.

It's in my top 3 in terms of new jump series released over the year.

I didn't keep up with the Food Wars manga that far past the (current) end point of the anime because it just kept getting further and further from what I had liked about the show. I'd seen chatter in here that it was only getting worse so I never bothered getting back to it, but I hear it suddenly ended (poorly)?

Because I will certainly never go back and finish it but I am curious, as a former viewer/reader, is anyone able to sum up the end of the series past
the little ryokan vacation arc where they discover that Soma has a secret brother leading some food-criminal uprising?

How forced did the pairing of Soma and Erina continue to be? In what new and/or expected ways was Megumi (best character) shafted? Who were the new eye-rollingly overpowered chefs carelessly inserted into the story to counter our heroes' insane power creep? What over-heightened food challenges were drawn out for several chapters in place of actual character development?

Onepunch man (ONE)

Did Murata change the story a lot????? Help me since my memory is a little shit:

didnt Hellfire and Gale Wind turn into monsters and then mush in Murata's version? They appeared right now in the webcomic as nornal human beings. Also, didn't Sonic turn into a monster as well?

Dungeon Meshi
Main characters: cooking random beasts and silly shenanigans
Side characters: serious as fuck stories about dungeon conquests

But I did enjoy half-ling Senshi, he looks docile as fuck

ONE changed the story, not Murata.
Hellfire and Gale Wind were manga-only characters who ONE has now added to the webcomic. They died and got brought back by Phoenix Man in the manga, so maybe they're human again like they are in the webcomic.

And Sonic did not become a monster. He did eat a monster cell, but he cooked it beforehand, seemingly ruining it, so he only got diarrhea instead.

I would love to make a top 10 "characters in manga that after all the hype didn't accomplish much of anything", Megumi and Sakura are on that list off of series I've read.

Yeah I really look forward to reading it every week. More people need to pick it up

I feel like it's not as popular as it should be (which is maybe why they're doing the Chainsaw Man crossover promotion?) but I hope it at least has the legs to finish the story without suddenly rushing to conclusion. I feel like it could reasonably finish satisfyingly in, like, 25 chapters. Up to twice that would give things room to breathe and allow for a richer climax and conclusion. More than 50 more chapters would probably feel forced and artificially extended, but I'm much more worried that it's gonna get the axe and suddenly wrap up with, like, 3 chapters notice.

It's truly one of the best manga I've ever read (and viewed) and deserves to be tremendously popular. I hope it's done justice with a stellar anime someday. Bones or Kyoani or something.

Hmm. I wonder how the author of that Hell's Paradise got an interview with Miura.

What's the connection there?

Definitely feels like the mangaka was far too beholden to his original character arc ideas. The relationship of Megumi and Soma developed so organically over a long time with a ton of true bonding and growth between the two, whereas Erina was just the flattest faraway tsundere until the goddamn train arc, but you always knew it didn't matter because the author had decided that they were the central pairing.

Read the next half-a-dozen raws for Break Blade last night. And does it turn that dial from an eleven up to a twelve, ending just after probably one of the series' most inventive fights.
My ancient mech is about to run out of power, how do I kill the guy in the mech with super armour? Simple, lift his mech up above mine and pin a broken sword between my mech's torso and a nick in his mech's armour. Leaving gravity do the rest.
