It's not out on any official simulpublish sites, or even on Japanese shelves right now. The chapter that's "out" currently is a leak that won't actually be available anywhere legal until this Sunday. The red text clearly states to put leaks in a spoiler tag and mark it.
Ruff's post was a lot less vague before he edited it, and I read it figuring that he was talking about last week's chapter. I didn't realize that next week's had already leaked.
Then what constitutes a leak?
Also, does that mean that this thread is exempt from ResetEra's policy on piracy?
Don't ask don't tell seems to be the policy, even if it requires admin and mods to look the other way on rampant piracy. The sad fact is that outside of the dozen or so series that officially get simulpublished there are 100's that are only licensed for volume sales or are never licensed. You almost have to look the other way to even read a lot of series.
Of course 90% of the manga this site reads are things that are available legally, and for most of them free, same day as Japan on Viz, Manga Plus, and Crunchyroll.
It's going to be a problem as long as Japanese publishers believe physical sales are worth the risk of their chapters being uploaded early. You can't expect big fans to sit out from their favorite series being basically fully translated for free several days earlier than official release.
Granted the best policy would be to spoiler anything that has an official release until the official release comes out.

It's no different than the rules against sharing video game scans while allowing for discussion of the material in the scans. Discussing the scans shouldn't be an issue as long as the manga communities aren't promoting the translations/sharing unofficial sources.
This was brought up on the previous forum and the reason against it was always because you'd have nothing but lines and lines of spoiler tags on every page since the majority of the discussions are around unofficial translations. The name of the series and the chapter number has been the rule because of this.
Psst, just come to the Manga Discord anyways, that's where we all went. That's where all the hottest discussion is.
But they publish it digitally and simultaneously in English. While still rushed the official translation is also much better in general if we're talking about One Piece.
The difference is that famitsu and other gaming magazines are just advertising.
Manga are stories that people are invested in. People who actually support the official release basically have to avoid threads discussing them 3-4 days a week because the people who pirate don't care and hide behind the "lol there is an English translation out". It becomes worse when jerks wander outside of this manga thread or the specific manga ot thread and post spoilers in non manga threads and go "lol there is an English translation" which even if I didn't care about piracy is still a jerk move.

Blackbeard might be his son, it's not impossible, but not confirmed yet.
Rocks recruited them all at Beehive Island I guess, we'll eventually see a proper flashback for all that I imagine one day.

You can still support the official release even if you read the fan translations. Especially since official channels seem to make their money off backlogs and actual volumes now instead of immediately released chapters.
Blackbeard's ship is called the Saber of Xebec, we know this from the Vivre Card notebook thing. So people are speculating if Blackbeard is maybe Xebec's son.
The issue is that fan translated chapters are still piracy, and the fact these chapters are free now makes it especially egregious how rampant it is and how much this site and others look the other way. Like it's one thing if the option is fan translated chapter or bust since the series hasn't been licensed for western distribution. It's another issue entirely when things like One Piece and My Hero Academia which have official, free, same day translations are available and spoilers run rampant through this site because a pirated copy is online for people to read.
As A.J. said people in the manga communities do support the official releases/have subscriptions to the official services while also reading spoilers/scanlations/etc... the same way people who go to see Marvel movies read spoilers and leaked scripts online. Regardless this specific manga community from the previous forum to our current forum for over a decade has discussed multiple mangas and series using the chapter and title system, many of which didn't/still don't have official releases in English. There are other threads that are dedicated to specific manga like One Piece and My Hero Academia with different rules in place for spoilers/etc... Maybe there should be additional threads for the official releases similar to how movie/TV show threads have regular and spoiler threads?
No disagreements from me on the "jerks" that post spoilers outside their specific manga threads/make OTs specifically about spoilers.

Every volume lately feels like a rollercoaster of reveals. Pad's fixed, the Lunarians can fix the ground up gems, Gem Civil War holy moly
Also I thought we were gonna go a whole volume without seeing Phos get wrecked but then that last chapter happened. Holy shit Cairngorm chill
My one nitpick with the manga is that I don't think action scenes are quite the strong suit here, for example the action was really hard to follow in Chapter 70. Man I really hope the anime get's a second season someday.

I have a lot of opinions on piracy I'm sure you and I would disagree on, but if there's one thing I am with you on, it's this. I feel like the lax rules of the manga thread made a lot more sense when there was a lot more activity with reactions to weirder/older/nicher/newer series that hadn't picked up an official translation yet whether it be because they were too niche or there just didn't seem to be any interest in it in the west. Since the move, the thread has kinda just become the shonen power hour which is fine but I do miss the times I'd discover weird shit cause of this thread.
Side note; I recently went to a big chain bookstore and I think its nuts how many different manga they have started carrying. Especially those trashy isekai porn series I'd consider too trashy to sell.
