It's cheaply-produced mainstream media that's serialized in magazines. That's not any comment on its quality, just its general perception in the culture. Somewhat analogous to TV, or pulp literature in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
If you think about it, manga and comic books sort of replaced serial literature. Manga in Japan probably has a lot of similarities to how westerners consumed serial literature throughout the 19th century and the early 20th.

Btw, did people here post the interview on mangaplus with two of the editors of My Hero Academia? It's the first of many in which they'll publish

I recommend the reading, it's really interesting not only from the series perspective but because it's no easy to see content in english with magazine/manga editors.
what if its the same editor? Now I'm curious to see an interview with the editor in charge of Chainsaw Man.

I really have no idea what you're talking aboutOP 943
"So you don't like my Wano arc heh ? Guess it's time to bring out the big guns" - Oda probably
If the chapter's been decent, it's really the last page once-every-10-years-combo that gets me beyond hyped. Time to give me the OP I crave for, dead tired of this boring and confusing arc.
Seven Deadly Sins just ruined what could have been one of the best troll moments in manga
woof
god damn yall. I just discovered 'Sweet Home' and that shit was fucking DOPE. The author does a great job at creating tension and suspense. Every time you have still shots with small variations and you keep scrolling down it reminded me of those infamous korean horror manga. While yes technically a webtoon, it's worth a read if you're interested. Simplest way I can describe it is Silent Hill meets The Raid.
Let me know what you think. I've been trying to find manga with a similar feel save for Junji Ito works. I'm sure they exist, google isnt being very helpful tho haha
This scene in my head popped up from this manga/manhwa when the main character makes a reasonable point and a supporting character agreed but then realized that the MC who was usually brash is being tactical. To which he joked around and said something of the effect to ", wait, you're supposed to be stupid! Who do you think you are trying to be smart?! Stop messing up the balance!". And then I remembered that scene most likely came from the manhwa Veritas. And then i remembered that it's never coming back and I'm sad all over again :(
I think the sales were low so they had to wrap it up quick but with that ending you just can't leave it like that :(I read Veritas maybe 10 years ago and remember enjoying it at the time, although that ""ending"" was rushed af

The worst part is that the "Final Boss" was just awakened from their slumber! It would be like Bleach ending right after the Aizen betrayal!Yeah I'm sure they could have ended it a slightly different way :/
IIRC it's like they set up those big showdowns, including one between a (up until this point) comic relief kind of character that's actually revealed to have trained non stop for the sole purpose of defeating the main antagonist... Then completely out of left field the main antagonist massacres most of the school, doesn't face off with the guy I just mentioned... And then the manga ends just as the MC is about to throw down with her.
It's like damn, even Bleach's ending is better at giving closure to the story lol
