Oh shit what? I guess the time of the long running series is starting to end. I'm kinda glad tbh.
I wouldn't say that. I think it's more that the series that want to run long and are popular enough can run long but the popular ones that don't want to be stretched out are free to end whenever they want. Which is an approach I like.Oh shit what? I guess the time of the long running series is starting to end. I'm kinda glad tbh.
A lot of these series either aren't popular enough to be long running or the creator went in expecting to do a shorter story. It also depends on the genre.Oh shit what? I guess the time of the long running series is starting to end. I'm kinda glad tbh.
It really is! Love the latest chapter.
Oh just started reading. Funny how the manga is a million times better than the anime which I can't get into at all.
Act Age 77
I'm sure what ever method Yonagi undertakes to develop a rage even greater than Chiyoko's will be totally healthy and not physically/mentally draining at all.
Oh...well once you approach chapter 216, know that it's a really good one!Oh just started reading. Funny how the manga is a million times better than the anime which I can't get into at all.
"The story of an acting prodigy who's terrible at acting" is basically how I see Act Age lol.Act Age 77

I don't read a lot of LN, only the ones I find good. But I would like to recommend Zaregoto series (each volume is standalone, 2nd volume is best LN I've ever read) and Kokoro Connect (there is a very good anime which is based on volumes 1-4, and current translation is up to volume 6 already (it's a finished series and there should be 8 or 9 volumes in total)).Anyone here read a lot of LNs? I got really into them a few months ago, but I'm looking for some suggestions. And maybe some non-LN books that have a similar "feel" to dig into??
Yeah I was in pain too. I really hope the author can come back. I like to think about how Kohei Horikoshi had 2 series get cancelled and his 3rd try (which I think I heard somewhere is one's last chance in Jump but I'm not sure) MHA ended up being a massive success. Makes me feel like one of the future big hits may be from someone we've already seen. The Last Saiyuki 23 END
That panel killed me. What a way to show the potential this story had, and then immediately say goodbye. I'd be down to see a new series from the same author at some point in the future.
Damn. Demon Prince Poro was on the cover of the very first Viz Jump issue I got when I started subscribing. Doesn't feel that long ago but I guess it's been more than 2 years already haha. It's crazy to think about that lineup of new series, with Poro and 2 others fading out, Robot x Laserbeam running for a respectable 60 chapters and then Dr. Stone and We Never Learn are still going and have anime adaptations.Yeah, Taisei's author is on his second series in Jump (first was Devily-man), and the author of the new series coming next week had a series back in 2017 (Poro's Foreign Exchange Records).
And the authors of all those series also had a big hit beforehand (or at least multiple serializations).Damn. Makes sense. Not every harem love comedy can be Nisekoi and go on for 200+ chapters. We Never Learn 123 - Sheesh, if I didn't know better, I would have thought this was a final chapter too. It definitely feels like we're heading into the endgame.
I feel it would get transferred like Boruto instead of cancelled. Is there even a chance that Samurai 8 would get cancelled like other series have been around the 5-6 month mark?
It's happened with other authors who've had hits but I feel like Kishimoto would be exempt considering how hyped up this new series has been (and also him having the 3rd best selling Jump manga).
It seems to be a series that's taking its time and not rushing to big moments while still ultimately delivering them so I hope it doesn't get cancelled.

True that's possible. Though it would need a schedule change in another magazine.I feel it would get transferred like Boruto instead of cancelled.
Huh that's surprising.Supposedly Kishimoto said this would be a shorter series, only around 100 chapters. We'll see what happens.
The localized name is Mission: Yozakura Family and yeah, looks like it has the potential to be pretty fun!The new series from Jump called Mission of Yozakura Family by the Poro author looks nice
It has that Spy x Family vibe to it but in Jump. It seems like it may be about mafia/yakuza but with comedy.
This is finished now? I loved the anime but was sad it never got a continuation. Might need to track down the manga one day.Barakamon Vol. 18 End
I'm sad to see this end but on the bright side it remained a fantastic slice of life throughout its run, with surprisingly well done character growth for everyone. You could track Handa-Sensei's growth from start to finish and find a believable transition from self-centric to empathetic. You'll be sorely missed little rural Japan.
Yeah, I was shocked because I didn't see it coming until end came up on wide spread shot. If you liked the anime then I'd definitely track down the manga. This is finished now? I loved the anime but was sad it never got a continuation. Might need to track down the manga one day.
This was basically me but add an "O" in the middle.Berserk 359

don't we all just crave trash 24/7 but discuss the few good things we actually read?I started reading Soul Liquid Chambers. It's trashy but the kind of trash that my soul craves.
Jump series to canaballize jump+ series. Weird decision on shueisha's jump devisions. The new series from Jump called Mission of Yozakura Family by the Poro author looks nice
