42, titanium band with recycled gold shaving inlay. Been together 6 1/2 years, married after four.
Going on 40 in my 16th year of marriage, white gold (looks like silver) band. The wife thinks gold (yellow) looks gaudy for wedding rings and that white gold is timeless.
I thought yellow gold was out of style over 10 years ago when I got married :P both my engagement ring and wedding ring are white gold.(Married woman here, sorry I know u asked for men, hehe. My husband has white gold too.)

30's: White Gold / Tungsten steel is the way to go. Yellow Gold is nice but too flashy for my taste.
37, white gold. We had zero dollars when we got married and our rings were the cheapest we could find.

31 White gold engraved with the southern hemisphere. Wife's has the northern so when put together our rings make a globe. She's got a diamond in the middle of the Pacific. I do as well but it's inside the band. We also both have engraved images of the place of our first date (kaninarimon in asakusa Tokyo) and our anniversary date on the inside.
I had mine hammered down and made look worn. It dulled the shine considerably but I prefer it this way

Late thirties, silver, but it's not my original band. The original was titanium with a band of gold in the middle. My wife bought it because I joked, "that ring has a chewy caramel center."
Anyway, my hand got too big for it and I couldn't get it resized, so now I wear a silver ring instead.

Mid 30s. Silver. I Wear it on a chain now, as I lost weight and the ring kept sliding off my finger and I'm not motivated enough to go get it resized (my weight fluctuates a lot, so I felt like it was always stuck or sliding off.)
Probably get a silicone one if I ever replace/lose it.

Early 30s. Can't go wrong with a classic, yellow gold. My wife also had it engraved like the One Ring from lotr.
I'm 34 and have a white gold ring. I never wear it though. I wear a black silicone ring instead.
