I am not saying Disney did anything bad, I am mostly talking to people that are all like "Well actually" talking about contracts and shit. It is needless derailing and dismissive of her

it's not derailing, it's literally the reason why a poster looks the way it looks. robert downey jr. is the first name on the left in the endgame, the first name you see on the poster, because he is top billing. this can even fuck up the order of actors on a poster vs where their names are

american_hustle_poster.jpg

you look at this poster and you wonder didn't they match the names to go with the actors' positions, well the answer is it's all contractual -- bale is top billing so his name is on the left. adams and lawrence had the least clout so their names are on the right (and if you remember about this film, there was a huge salary discrepancy between adams/lawrence and their male costars) so no surprise the same gap is reinforced with billing

the same thing goes for opening credits, the order in which they show people's names and whether they show the name at all

now it's certainly possible the name was omitted because someone fucked up and it should have been originally, but who knows, really

so if this is a 'contractual' issue, are we to assume that after this was pointed out Marvel rather quickly got everybody together and hammered out new contract/billing terms and then fired up the photoshop?

Does that mean they were willing to do something monetarily that they weren't before Twitter got mad?

Everyone is dismissing this with 'contracts/actor billing' but that seems to have several layers to it then if that's the case to get it 'fixed', right?

There is a value to this change, but it isn't really monetary. It costs Disney nothing to do this , but it is a positive for Danai.

The billing is the same order. The contracts likely don't have any conflicts moving the first name from the bottom to the last name on the top. It probably would take some calls to do this if she was moved in front of somebody else.

but that wasn't an issue with order, she was ignored altogether, right?
