I'm doing Dolby Cinema on opening night since I have some AMC credit to burn, already have Harkins tickets for the weekend. The Dolby Cinema I go to hasn't posted times yet.

I had booked Captain Marvel, but noticed the new-ish OT rules where you book six months in advanced instead of a year, which is cool with me. Captain Marvel OT is all yours, The Kree.
I'll be working on the Ant-Man and the Wasp OT soon.
Yeah, I would do a shitty one if I wasn't on vacation. There's a need for an OT!
I assume it's because of the weird holiday weekend plus the films short length where you can cram in 4 showings before the theater calls it.
Ant-Man and the Wasp OT is like 20% done already. There you go, everyone.
I had a brain fart moment thinking "what's the holiday that weekend?" and felt really stupid after.
Anyway, I was initially thinking there would be a "Fan Event" screening, where you see the movie one hour before everyone else. Similar to some of the other big movies this year.

Yeah, I actually double checked after I bought the tickets to make sure it wasn't a fan event.
Iron Fist will be at Comic Con; possibly Daredevil and The Punisher too.

They repeated that fake Reddit post about the Avengers 4 scene that wasn't shown at CineEurope in that piece. Disney confirmed it was just a video of Feige joking with the exhibitors.

Anyway, so the set reports are out for Ant-Man and I'm really glad Peyton Reed wanna explore more of San Francisco. That was really unique to the first movie:
It also seems like it has more connections to Civil War which I like.

The commercials said Thor was coming too, but now it looks like he dropped out? Evans was scheduled to be here as well, but he was taken off the list a month ago.
I'm pretty sure I read he couldn't make it, and they got Sebastian Stan and Mackie instead.
I feel like he'll do maybe 1 more, but help Marvel with their Cosmic movies.
He's said multiple times that the third is the end of the trilogy and the end of this version of the team.
Lea Thompson is meeting with Marvel Studios to pitch a reboot for Howard the Duck. Will probably amount to nothing.
