HOW

Considering MvC and all the restrictions
MvCI will be remembered as falling into that brief time period where Disney were assholes and put a ban on certain characters being used in Marvel games

with the Fox purchase that time period has ended

now they just need to make things right with Marvel 4

Get closer to the action by shifting the view to an over-the-shoulder “Heroic Camera” perspective—a series first that offers a more immersive way to play single-player or multiplayer on up to four systems. Play online*, offline via local wireless, or simply pass a Joy-Con controller to a friend, so they can join your team. With another pair of Joy-Con™ controllers (sold separately), four players can team up on one system! The drop-in/drop-out co-op possibilities let players create their own “Ultimate Alliance” at will.
Hyyyyppeeee. Please be good. Assuming this is coming next year already

Koei Tecmo. And Omega force developed one piece pirate warriors to bandai namco and dqheroes to square enix so not really a game from them. We need to wait and see.
Omega Force is still owned by them, so yeah. KT/TK is still involved regardless of who publishes the title.

Its actually freaking me out that people do not know what this is

This was "the Avengers" before the Avengers movies were a thing
Seriously. Ultimate Alliance felt like a big deal back then, and its super good to see it around in 2019. Bit miffed that this is yet another Infinity Stones and Thanos affair though, there are so many other stuff they can do.

TBH MvCI's problems were more than just on Marvel. Yeah the ban hurt bad, but Capcom was still in a weird "budget minded" phase. Don't forget they said we wouldn't have gotten a Street Fighter game - STREET FIGHTER - if Sony hadn't ponied up to pay some of the dev cost to ensure it was PS exclusive. After that, MvCI was worse than a red-headed stepchild.

Pretty crazy to look at the current presentations of Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2 Remake and see the difference that a proper budget and real dev support will deliver. Really, they should have held of development for a couple of years, it'd have been better for everyone.

Have faith, people. Nintendo publishing this, now way they let a have they spend lots of money be bad.

Otherwise we should be very worried, as Namco is really inexperienced in Fps's.

That looked like a mobile game. Did Nintendo get the right and then decided to give them a little budget?

Damn. This is a great get from Nintendo. So Sony has Spider-man, Nintendo has Marvel Ultimate Allience 3. Wonder if MS get something from Marvel

That's a common misconception. SFV would have happened no matter what, Sony just sped up the process by 2 years.

I'm extremely excited for this (and just in time to include X-Men characters to boot). Hopefully they re-do Cap's character model though. It's almost as bad as the MVCI one due to the Liefeldian proportions.

Since Nintendo is publishing, I'm guessing this is funded by Nintendo and not a timed exclusive?
Could be a timed exclusive though. Remember that Lego game when Nintendo published it as an exclusive on the wiiu and then WB published it to other platforms

I want a game with smooth framerates, that doesn't struggle to run when things get chaotic, with movesets that are fully unique between characters. Not "a spready attack with bullets on Blade, with the same animation with fire effects on Human Torch". I'll be crazy happy to have a cast that all gives me a unique reason to play each one, with super-powers that feel super to use.

Team Ninja is normally pretty smart at figuring out how to do this kind of stuff. The game has a nice stylization from what we saw. If the art can serve the gameplay first, that's fine with me.
