Dual Characters might be a new mechanic introduced based off the trailer. Dual characters look like they take up 2 character slots (assuming the loadout is still 4 characters) but count as one character. They have unique interactions with each other (Rocket can be seen riding Groot during one part of the trailer, only 3 character circles show up though) and can also be switched between one another within the same slot. It sounds really redundant because why not just have 4 characters as usual at that point, but hey, who knows.
Letters: Team Bonuses
Assuming they're building off of the previous games, we can expect team bonuses to return. Depending on how you build your team, you'll get a bonus passive buff to your build. My guess on the included teams (there probably will be more, but this would be a good start):
(A) - Avengers (overrides other teams)
Example: Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor = Avengers
(AoS) - Agents of SHIELD (gets overridden by any conflicting team, can combine with other teams)
Example: Hawkeye, Black Widow, Nick Fury, Captain Marvel = Avengers - Agents of SHIELD.
Example: Hawkeye, Black Widow, Quake, Ghost Rider = Agents of SHIELD
(B) - Brutes (gets overridden by any conflicting team, can combine with other teams)
Example: Hulk, Thor, Vision, War Machine = Avengers - Brutes
Example: Hulk, Drax, Thor, M'Baku = Brutes
(C) - Cosmic (gets overridden by any conflicting team, can combine with other teams)
