Seems today marks the day Marvel and Capcom are finally acknowledging the game again. (Well, Marvel Games. Capcom Fighters still refuses to acknowledge to only other Capcom Figher)

Also note, tomorrow would have marked a month since the last time they mentioned the game. Guess they didn't want it to be a whole month.

Capcom probably didn't want to start talking about the game again until Arcade Edition was released.

Yeah its almost like they dont self compete and wait for one of their titles to finish up with its own content rollouts before promoting their other fighting game content rollouts lol.

We told folks...chill. We aint dead nor close to it. There are time tables for these things.

But that ain't promoting another fighter's content rollout. This is a bug fix, and we still have no indication that the game will recieve more content. This could have easily been resolved by saying "look forward to more MvCI in the coming months", but there was nothing. The lack of communication isn't justifiable.

And again, they're not promoting this to Capcom Fighters, so it's not like they're promoting this much.

And speaking of their other Fighter, that one never got the silence this one did.

And it makes sense too, SF might have the biggest audience, but its only logical that Capcom wouldnt put their own games in "competion" aka marketing both at the same time. And I still refuse to believe Marvel would abandon the game with all the huge MCU hype with the movies, even though they are different things.

This and that are two different things. This game is the least appropriate vehicle to hype up movies. Capcom's content pipeline is too slow to be timely and have tie-ins. They're not adding characters in manner comparable to Marvel's mobile titles. This and given that this costs way more to make, didn't even make back it's budget, and has a really negative perception, it would make perfect sense if Marvel cut their losses.

Awesome! Bye bye unblockables and hello confirmation that they, y'know, have people still working on this game to actually do such a thing.

Great stuff.

Glad we're getting some support for the game. I think the best course of action now would be to relaunch the game like SFVAE. Update the graphics, add some more content & then have a roster similar to this, then I think they'd win over a lot of people.

Y'all still on that Leon Kennedy train when we already got too many dudes with guns in this game...

They could make Daredevil pretty easily. Just use Spider-Man's mode/moves and make the screen completely black when you choose him.

Remove chromatic aberration and vignetting then up color saturation and contrast, for starters.

Shadows could also stand to be more defined.

Wasn't this game supposed to get some kind of 2v2 multiplayer patch?
Allegedly.
What exactly could be done to upgrade the visuals and actually make it into a good looking game?
First get rid of the weird splotchy, sickly skin most human characters have in their spec maps. They did the same thing SFV does except SFV has better SSS and really good AO that make the characters look good. "Fix" the proportions of some (most?) of the cast. If you want to go for a less "comic book" look, actually go for more proportionate characters. Remove most of the CA, redesign the HUD a bit, maybe actually get competent looking menus. Get better facial rigs for the characters as well. Maybe make it so that some effects/animations are more inline with their MvC3 equivalents?

It wouldn't be a cheap or quick "fix", so it's not viable to do so. They're not going to redo the graphics of the game.

I guess I'm still the only person that wants to see Quake in this game. I am an Agents of SHIELD fanboy after all.
