Best superhero game, easy. Loved the Arkham games but somehow Spider-Man manages to capture the essence of its hero much better. This has been an amazing year for Spider-Man fans.
The interesting thing is, if Mat can confirm, NPD does not track sales in bundle. So it means Spider-Man has achieved to beat any multiplatform Arkham Batman games without taking into account the huge amount of units sold in bundles during Black Friday. Is that right Mat ?

I'm playing it every time I visit my friends and I am certain that if I were to get a PS4, this would be the game to get for it.

This should be without bundles, NPD doesn't count bundles in their rankings.
They still track them and Mat could be including them. How many copies did previous best selling superhero game sell in first 3 months? Could tell us if it even needs bundles to beat the previous record.

I'm sure MUA3 will be a great game and sell gangbusters (more than a lot here would expect, anyway), but at the end of the day, it's a game with superheroes in it, while Insomniac perfectly realized the power fantasy of being the superhero - Spider-Man.

Nope. MAU3 will be good, and sell well, but there's no universe in which it sells on this level.
I agree it won't even come close to touching Spidey, but it's gonna sell a lot more than people would expect.

Possibly. I don't think it needs them counted to beat the record, which is very impressive as an exclusive, but would be good to get the confirmation.
Final finished the other night. Torn between collecting more, starting the dlc or doing new game plus.

Spiderman would be perfect in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 which happens to be on Switch which also means its perfect for Switch and in conclusion makes it an instant record breaker.
while i'm sure it'll do well enough, it's basically impossible for MUA3 to outsell spiderman. but it's not like they would expect it to. it will have a fraction of spiderman's development and marketing budget, releasing to a much smaller install base, and in a much less popular genre.
