I'm sorry, but just lol. Dude has no athleticism or toughness. Imagine believing this.
There is no way Bryan could ever be a true heel. Especially after coming back after a legitimate retirement. His run prior to his injury and the subsequent end of his career has made him untouchable in terms of being a face. He can work a heel, but nobody will ever truly "hate" him. Booking him as a cowardly heel wouldn't work, and I doubt Bryan would want that at this stage in his career, as I'm sure he'd like to work matches. You can make him a killer heel, but you'd have to figure out something to really get folks to turn on him. I think Bryan likes to have fun, and I really think he loves wrestling, and he cherishes it too much to waste any time being a coward character that cuts back on his in-ring stuff.
You ideally would have him kill shit like Rousev day. Kill New Day. Kill anything that fans really love-- but even then, Bryan is genuinely more beloved than those things. Which is what happens when fans are forced to weigh things against one another like that. Bryan would have to destroy something that people adore more than him, and in current WWE? There really isn't anything he could do, unless he turned on his kid, and even then he'd get cheered. He's literally that Angle promo where he talks about how everyone will love him no matter what, he dislikes "The Black People" and he would go back in time to make Jesus tap out.
That being said, heel Bryan is fuckin' great. What a douchebag lol
Heel Bryan is also responsible for somehow making a feud with Big Show and Mark Henry (at the same time) entertaining. Which is fucking insane.

I would highly recommend the UFC "David vs Goliath" where each matchup had a weight discrepancy of over 50 lbs in the tournament, loved it. Very fun event.

Still, the real target of my statement was around the roster. Serene mentioned Punk's flimsy punches as if such clumsiness would be exclusive to Punk when almost the entire Roster look like they've never been in a fight in their lives.
I kind of wish they actually get this Rollins match out of the way at Extreme Rules. Just speed this whole process up. Raw is stuck in straight filler hell right now. Such a departure from last year where the show was legit solid from Mania until December.

I expect the next eight will be better on that front.

I think it's mainly that a lot of people this year (Ligero, Mastiff, Gibson, Drake) I just think really suck. And obviously there's no Dunne level guy in this group.
