Hmm, for $50, I can watch one show of Cody, Kenny, and The Buck's vanity promotion or a month of New Japan World for the G-1, a month of Stardom, a month of DDT Universe, and still have some leftover for the WWE Network.
It makes sense given it's part of a show and went on for too long last year but it feels too rushed now. The Janken tournament was never fun because it was a shoot rock, paper, scissors tournament. It was fun because of the wrestlers fucking about with each other like Kyona's becoming hated by everyone due to her bullshit heel mind games and Hiromi's 5 star performances. Still Toni, Sumire, Tam, and Natsuko did some good stuff.
I don't think it aired live on NJPW World. IIRC, it popped up on there a few days later

Yeah I know I wored it poorly but I was trying to draw a distinction between Honor Club live and NJPW World but didn't come off that way obviously
For me it would be New Japan, a GCW show and som left over.
I'm not putting my money on Taichi-Ishii being better than Jericho/Omega II. TYB vs. Lucha Bros. Hell, even PAC vs. Hangman Page. Ishii's great, but...Taichi? Breh.
Sorry, I haven't accepted Kenny Omega as my personal wrestling savior.
And I highly doubt Omega vs Jericho 2 is going to be as good if they're going for more of a straightforward wrestling match.
Jericho can't really keep up with Kenny like that.

At least it seems to be his own line of merch rather than official merch through AEW, but still shitty.
PR, their official social media accounts, and their website seems to be their weakness thus far.
Lots of misspelled names on graphics (i.e. "Kylie Ray" on the roster page), wrong accounts tagged on Twitter/Instagram post, etc.
It's very much "First time making a website off a google tutorial" chic.
I'm expecting the Jacksonville thing to cost money. Would be incredibly nice if it didn't, but since it's already a charity show I can see them wanting to make more money to send more profits to the benefit, and any PPV price would help noticeably more with that than just ticket sales

They literally are looking at PPV like a main source of revenue so I guess with that in mind it's not surprising.
