It seems to be that they're really gearing up for major PR with inviting a bunch of media people to Vancouver and holding interviews with Rock Paper Shotgun and others.

The core action gameplay is good, but I agree that there's no lasting reason to continue to play it. It's just not there . Also, singleplayer is just much more relaxing and fun to me, so I can see where you are coming from.
