Imagine being promised one thing and given another thing.
Meaning services existing. Of course they are gonna each have their own games. Consoles wouldn't sell as well if they didn't have exclusives either is that not choice either? You love more options when the game is going to be available only on EGS? lmao
I honestly don't know why people get all bent out of shape about this. Download the other launcher. Problem solved.
If some of the already launched titles and coverage I've read about is accurate and can be transferred in some way, Mechwarrior being on EGS is probably a great thing for the dev and the game, and its future.
Imagine being salty about where a game is available at.
It seems you dont understand the dislike, going by your first post in this thread.I think what a lot of people are missing here with this is that Epic has probably allowed the studio to polish this game even further and have clearly included data that suggests that the game being on the store is good for the future of the series and the studio.
I understand the dislike for the client and Epic in general, but remember that there are real people behind these titles that need this game to succeed in terms of money first.
I think it's important that people keep in mind how much of a bet that PGI is taking with this game and how much risk is reduced by taking the EGS offer.
Be mad at Epic if anything. This was the best decision they could've taken.

Pshhh, Mechwarrior?
Come on Epic give me already the thread to end all threads with "RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 PC COMING EXCLUSIVELY TO EPIC GAME STORE (READ STAFF AND THREADMARK POSTS BEFORE COMMENTING)".

I think people would be more understanding of PGI's role if it hadn't flagrantly lied about why it'd removed the promise of Steam keys from the FAQ just several days ago.
Someone earlier in the thread said that they're a really small studio and basically need MW5 to succeed in order to keep the lights on, so yeah I can't really blame them.
Pitty I am a customer that is screwed getting a worse product, how does it work, huh.Quite possible. Regardless, this is a good thing for the developer and that's what I'm happy about.
At least these guys are offering full refunds right away. They're not pulling teeth like Shenmue.

It's interesting that these devs are handling the refunds themselves while EGS is handling the Shenmue refunds.

Nobody is missing that but you are far from an impartial observer who has cheered for every exclusive that epic has done. They are free to do whatever they want maybe this will be the thing that helps the studio . The developers that go exclusive like this are actively going against their fanbase and it seems long term this is going to end up being a bad decision for any developer that made.I think what a lot of people are missing here with this is that Epic has probably allowed the studio to polish this game even further and have clearly included data that suggests that the game being on the store is good for the future of the series and the studio.

Do I get cloud saves despite them promising months ago? (no)
Yes. By removing potential features from the Steamworks suit it is a inferior product. And before you spout the typical pff who gives a shit about, there's plenty of people who care.
Depends if he was expecting to use features that Steam provides that EGS does not yet (and appears to be extremely behind in implementing), so I find the argument valid for those type of customers.
Is it really success if you have to get EGS money in order to succeed?

I said customer though, i see the media and the developers dont care about the people spending money though so i can just shrugI don't think anyone making the decisions really cares about where it comes from.

Yeah, I'm happy for them. Still won't be buying their game though. Gotta vote with my money.Quite possible. Regardless, this is a good thing for the developer and that's what I'm happy about.
