Huh? That's not true? FFXIII sold 1.5 million in the first week, and in that week the PS3 LTD was just under 4.3 million. That's an attach rate of 35% in that week alone. The PS4 LTD is almost at 6 million now, and will be over that by the time Monster Hunter World is released. If we assume that 0 PS4 units are sold from now until then, and we assume Monster Hunter World sells 2 million in the launch week, that's an attach rate of 33%. Less than FFXIII's attach rate.MHW isn't getting to 2 millions.
That would be an insane attach rate never seen before on a PlayStation system
Everything should be higher. Just look at KT games, most are under 10K.
Look at 3rd party games sales during nov-dec. The Switch sold more than 1 million during that time.
Even if they are only ports, sales are still very low.
everything should be higherYou thought Bomberman, Xenoverse 2, FIFA, Monster Hunter XX HD, Sumikko and One Piece would do better? I have a hard time believing that.
Man, you are talking about 2 or 3 games... How many 3rd party games are on the Switch? 60? 80? What's the average per title?Maybe you should try to compare those sales with the PS4 versions ? (DBX2, FIFA ...)
That would help you to have a reference point.
Man, you are talking about 2 or 3 games... How many 3rd party games are on the Switch? 60? 80? What's the average per title?
Yes because year old ports of titles on other platforms (that have also been out for several months) and 9 month old smaller scale games are totally going to sell near 100k in a week in Japan.Let's be honest, guys. 3rd parties can't compete with Nintendo quality...
Most Switch users will be happy enough only having Nintendo games.
I don't expect all games to sell 100k. But 10K? That's really low right now
I think some companies would be a lot happier if their games sell 50k instead of 5k...everything should be higher
fifa and bomberman should be pulling 400k.
If these titles were pulling 50k a week rather than 5 all these smaller scale games would be multi million sellers. Within the platforms first year on the market. Do you know how many Japanese titles were multi million sells on the PS4 inside it's first year? Your expectations are insane. Even in the best case scenario that was never going to happen.I think some companies would be a lot happier if their games sell 50k instead of 5k...

Ok. Can you give me the total amount and the average of copies sold per title?
Ok. Can you give me the total amount and the average of copies sold per title?
I wonder if Switch can get to 5 million before PS4 gets to 6 million.
With the Wii U version and digital sales it is over 900k.Also, Xenoblade 2 could have done so much better!! I hope BotW reaches 1 million LTD.
As a Tellius fan, it pains me to admit, but this is true lol

Good to see that the week1 bump that PS4 wasn't supposed to get this year did in fact happen, let's see how the month turns out.
Zelda should be over the 1 million point now with digital. I think the Wii U one was around 130,000 on media create around the middle of last year (so it will have been still selling each copies since then).
Totally forgot about Wii U sales, but that's awesome! Happy to see Zelda doing great in Japan!

yeah, the increase from last week was much higher than most (including me) expected. Didn't imagine a 100k + week until monster Hunter week, I'm very impressed.Good to see that the week1 bump that PS4 wasn't supposed to get this year did in fact happen, let's see how the month turns out.
Yes and most of these are either old ports of games on other titles or small games themselves with franchises that historical sell in that region in recent times.Going by these numbers:

Not sure if this is typical at all, but I own 21 Switch games right now, only 7 of which got a retail release. That's 2:1 in favour of eShop-only titles. With so many digital titles available and a lot of indie devs talking about their games performing well, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a lot of Switch owners with similar ratios.According to Nintendo Japan's site, there are about 39 3rd party Switch games which have been released in some form at retail. 248 titles in total. 12 first party titles (I'm counting FE Musou and Pokken). That makes it 51 retail titles and 197 digital only releases. Food for thought.
For a system that has sold 3.5 million units, what is the expectation of consumer appetite in the first 10 months? How many games should the average Switch owner be expected to buy? What about the divide between digital and retail? These are all things to consider.
The 3DS is pretty much done and they want this to be their next hit so it makes sense. The mobile version is still MIA though.that's...interesting.

A lot of these numbers are not updated (Disgaea 5's number for instance is literally its FW numbers), though I'm wondering how the PS4 versions of some of these games fared on the chart.1/3 of all retail Switch games sold 5K or less.
And many of those are not old ports
I know Level-5 is joining the party eventually. Just not expecting The Snack World to be the neophyte.

You realise what thread your posting in? How on earth did you think the Vita survived all these years with the level of support it had?You really think that 5k and less copies sold can cover the development and manufacturing cost?
As i previously said, I don't expect all those games to sell 100k, but those numbers are just too low!
Safe to say that ARMS is pretty close to 1.4M lifetime worldwide, huh?
Definitely more than that. Was at 1.35m shipments + digital at the end of September.Safe to say that ARMS is pretty close to 1.4M lifetime worldwide, huh?
For some of those titles sure, their performance in Japan as opposed to worldwide is abysmal even if the numbers are outdated. But expecting games like a horse racing game (that's inferior to Pocket Card Jockey) an American Basketball game or a 95 dollar Nobunaga's Ambition game to perform a lot better than they are ain't a good argument point. You really think that 5k and less copies sold can cover the development and manufacturing cost?
