09./09. [PS4] Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege - Advanced Edition <ACT> (Ubisoft) {2018.03.01} (¥6.000) - 8.191 / 16.233 (+2%)

After the legs of the original edition I guess this is not surprise but still nice to see. Will be on the charts for a while.

Hokuto ga Gotoku at 123k is okay, I guess. Around the same sales as Kiwami 2. I don't expect any solid legs, but I guess that was inevitable.

I don't have any feelings about Sen I Kai at 11k. I think they should just localise those two Kai games and attract more western gamers to the series.

Final Fantasy XV: Royal Bomba... no need for more words.

Happy for Hokuto ga Gotoku, even if it isn't that good.
Seems that Switch and PS4 baselines will really end up being 45k and sub 30k for a while.

02./01. [PS4] Monster Hunter: World # <ACT> (Capcom) {2018.01.26} (¥8.980) - 25.382 / 1.954.272 (-34%)
03./03. [NSW] Splatoon 2 # <ACT> (Nintendo) {2017.07.21} (¥5.980) - 22.162 / 2.106.486 (+1%)
These two gonna swap soon. If not next week, the week after.

Splatoon legs tentacles are no joke.

EDIT: Didn't even know about the bundle, so next week it is.

Who cares about Fifa in Japan? Lmao

Sony needs a MH bundle not Fifa, people rather buy the standalone console cheaper than Fifa bundle.

I mean, you're claim is wrong? There are other bundles also available. The 500GB version is sold out, not "the PS4 is sold out".

The Pro increased because of the new Pro model.

DQ Builders dropped more than expected. It might not sell as well as originally predicted but of course legs will be vital. It might keep selling 4-5k for weeks with usual bumps under holidays. After all, there's not much in the same genre now on Switch.

But where those bundles in stock last week? Not to mention not everyone is willing to pay extra for bundles (if they don't care about bundled game) and will wait for base model to come back in stock which will limit the sales.

Like the North Star did better than a lot of people predicted, even if that means it just did okay.

Yes, they were in stock all week. Fuku and I were talking about this yesterday lol. Not sure if they were in stock for the week of the last report, though, since it was something that we/I weren't/wasn't paying attention to.

Looks like starting next week, Splatoon 2 will have higher weekly sales compared to Monster Hunter World, there's also no doubt that Splatoon 2 will end up with higher lifetime sales with a clear margin in Japan.
No doubt about it.
I think it'll be the first time since OOT that a Zelda title reaches the 1M marker in JPN.
And the bigger story to me is it's road to a million - having such ridiculous legs carry it for well over a year after launch. It's insane.

Hokuto did a little better than what i was expecting and MHW keeps selling.

PS4 Pro with the same sales as PS4 Slim. Yep, stock issues continue.

Also, i said in the last thread but i will say it again. Japan loves Siege.

FFXV legacy in Japan is terrible. Luckily for SQEX, the game was apparently well received outside Japan.

Yakuza of the North Star didn't do that bad but Sega was expecting 400k units in Japan which is virtually impossible with this opening. After all, Yakuza gameplay is popular and Fist of the North Star is a hugely popular franchise in Japan (it also proved to be viable in the video game sector).

Switch software keeps selling and selling. It is clearly tied to hardware.

They never specified if the 400k target was only for Japan

Starting next week we will finally see Switch software beat 3DS SW launch aligned once again. Kirby will be the biggest opening for a Switch game in 2018, and I still expect it to be a larger launch than what YSO predicted.

We don't know how many Splatoon 2 bundles will be available for next week but I'd anticipate that Splatoon 2 sales will rise by around 75% during next week because of the bundle and larger hardware sales due to Kirby launch. Other evergreen titles should also see a smaller boost - likely between 25-75%. AOT2 is also expected to open at over 20K so overall I think next week we are likely looking at >70K Switches and >350K software sold on the Switch.

Overall the slow period for Nintendo has ended and there is a constant stream of games coming out in the upcoming months, hopefully this leads to a higher baseline in Japan.

Well, with Wii U sales it's already there. That said, getting a million on Switch alone is still outrageous in its own right. Really with all the evergreen titles they've got going, Nintendo's gotta be swimming in the money.

Hmm, MHW and Splatoon 2 have almost evened out in weekly sales. It'll be interesting to see what those two do in future weeks
It looks like MHW will drop again next week, but I don't see a similar drop the week after with Deviljho coming out. Wherever it settles, Splatoon 2 is gonna beat it lifetime; those legs (tentacles?) are incredible.

Capcom should definitely look at improving the Gathering Hall; they're doing some changes with the Jho update, but much of the Japanese audience really cares about the social experience you can get there.

We have posts from people in Japan, in the previous MC thread that said the PS4 base model is still out of stock in many places. Sony have acknowledged that there are stock problems with PS4 and they haven't made any announcement that they solved that yet (maybe they won't make an announcement though). Famitsu numbers that will come in the next hours will clear things up, if it was indeed widespread or not this time.

Next week should be very interesting when it comes to hardware sales for Nintendo. With Kirby releasing + a new wave of Splatoon 2 bundles we could expect like 60k-70k. Seeing Kingdom Battle in that list makes me happy. Nice to see it has legs. As expected, Bayonetta is out of the picture.

With Labo coming, do you guys think it'll be a success or a complete failure?

User has been warned: spreading unverified information as facts. Knock this off.
Splatoon 2 continues to grow more and more am

Heres something to think about. In Japan Splatoon 2 peaked over 300,000 players playing online at once, but in America the peak was a little around 4000 players lol.

Switch version should already be there alone with digital probably too.
