Subscription is the last option, only if Kadokawa follows Media Create in the future. Famitsu and Dengeki data are still available, Media Create will updated from White Paper with a year+ delay.

Everything continues as it is for now.

Definitely will be curious to see how the split for SRW goes. The last two 3DS SRW games had higher initial weeks than the last two PS4 SRW games, so it seems to be a title that could easily end up selling more on Switch.

I don't think it works like that. Yes, there is at least some history of the franchise being on a Nintendo platform, but the last one was 4 years ago on the 3DS. Meanwhile PS4 has had 3 games from the franchise since then.

I would agree that the ratio shouldn't be as horrible as something that has always been a playstation franchise, but the reality is that the audience has been built on the PS4 and not Switch until now.

I mean, the last Ace Combat game was like 8 years prior. 4 years is nothing. SRW has a deep history on Nintendo consoles, something like 15-20 different game releases on various Nintendo hardware so it should have a sizable amount of people excited to play the newest iteration on the Switch. No reason to think of SRW as "always been a playstation franchise" unless you simply don't have the knowledge of SRW's origins?

That's not really responsive to my specific point. "Nintendo 3DS" doesn't equal "Nintendo Switch".

And PS2 and PS3 doesn't equal PS4, yet you see people making those comparisons all the time (the most recent in large volume was concerning Kingdom Hearts sales). Also I made an edit that you might not have seen, so my I ask why you think SRW has "always been a playstation franchise" when it was on SNES and the original Gameboy and has had over 15 different releases on a wide range of Nintendo hardware?

Again, non responsive. PS4 has received the last 3 entries in the series. This is the first Switch game. Its unreasonable to expect parity day 1 because a game hit another Nintendo platform 4 years ago.

From what I can tell from gameplay videos on Youtube, the Switch and PS4 versions are the same, so there isn't any sort of graphics gap between the two. So the big advantage of portability should easily tilt the scales in favor of the Switch. If there wasn't parity in graphics between the two I'd say the ps4 should be favored, but considering the long and rich history of SRW on Nintendo consoles and how much Japan loves to play games on the go (and a SRPG like SRW is perfect for that) I'd say the Switch version should easily outsell the PS4 version which is the same except you can only play it at home.

Of the last 11 games in the series, a grand total of 2 have been on Nintendo platforms. Its very transparent what you are doing.

Edit- had my number wrong- was including all versions.

To respond directly to your point:

The highest selling SRW game, both in total and in terms of initial week sales for 3DS, DS, and GBA is the first SRW game that released on each system.

For 3DS:
Super Robot Wars BX 98.184 130.067 Bandai Namco 20/08/2015
Super Robot Wars UX 120.751 177.810 Bandai Namco14/03/2013

For DS:
Super Robot Wars L 123.933 181.459 Bandai Namco 25/11/2010
Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Masou Kishin - The Lord of Elemental 86.105 104.757 Bandai Namco 27/05/2010
Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Endless Frontier Exceed 78.773 100.089 Bandai Namco 25/02/2010
Super Robot Wars K 131.638 213.454 Bandai Namco 20/03/2009
Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Endless Frontier 90.248 120.556 Banpresto 29/05/2008
Super Robot Wars W 172.190 278.027 Banpresto 01/03/2007

For GBA, it's the same, Super Robot A was the first released and had higher first week sales and total sales than any other SRW game on GBA.

Do you not understand why the first game to a system is the highest selling one? It should be particularly obvious.

Those are all games in the series that were exclusive to DS/3DS. You can't compare those to a multiplatform game where Switch is now replacing Vita. Its just completely different dynamics.

All the DS and 3DS games were also lowered budget entries which included fewer units and a lot more of recycled assets.
Latest SRT on Nintendo home console was a 3D spin-off entry released on Wii 10 years ago

SRT has an history on Sony consoles, less so than IP which were entirely exclusive but the mindshare difference is still notable.

The supposed trend of "first released entry is best selling entry" is also moot when you look at the overall trend of SRT games sales, they just keep selling fewer copies game after game.

T won't stop that trend and will sell less than X.

Will the Switch version of T sell less than the Vita version of X?

Yikes if so.
*sigh*

I don't know, maybe, below sales of the main entries in the series
SRT Z3 Jigoku-Hen
PS3 3rd Super Robot Wars Z: Jigoku-hen 158.410 215.226 Bandai Namco 10/04/2014
PSV 3rd Super Robot Wars Z: Jigoku-hen 125.048 181.692 Bandai Namco 10/04/2014

SRT Z3 Tengoku-Hen
PS3 3rd Super Robot Wars Z: Tengoku-hen 105.072 148.320 Bandai Namco 02/04/2015
PSV 3rd Super Robot Wars Z: Tengoku-hen 98.624 141.497 Bandai Namco 02/04/2015

SRT V
PS4 Super Robot Wars V 95.222 151.005 Bandai Namco 23/02/2017
PSV Super Robot Wars V 84.933 122.826 Bandai Namco 23/02/2017

SRT X
PS4 Super Robot Wars X 84.550 134.716 Bandai Namco 29/03/2018
PSV Super Robot Wars X 55.397 81.251 Bandai Namco 29/03/2018
396k->289k->273k->215k

Looking at this trend sub 200k retail LTD is pretty much a lock unless there's some major shake-up or a very appealing line-up of mecha, it's not the case for the former and I don't follow the series close enough to know if that's a factor for the latter.

Also looking at FW/LTD multiplier
1.4 -> 1.42 -> 1.52 -> 1.54

Oddly enough they seem to have slighlty less frontloaded sales, with Switch especially it wouldn't be surprising if the multiplie go even higher, say 1.6-1.7

So betting on a 190k LTD I'd say sales could look like that, give or take 10k
FW 115k, LTD 190k
PS4 : 75k / 115k
NSW: 40k / 75k

So technically that's on the range of the PSV SRT X SKU I guess ?

Division 2 drop won't be as big as west but it will still be big.

Bad word of mouth has hit One Piece hard, it didn't have a chance neither at first week.

Early estimates for 50k openings top for both still apply, they won't be far from reality.
